Two garden things: DO NOT put that mint in the ground unless you want your whole garden to be mint!!!! And carrots are a cool weather crop 😊 there’s plenty more to say but half the fun is figuring it out yourself. You’re doing a good job!!

regarding the carrots, they actually can handle insanely hot weather. I live in the mountains of CA where it is VERY hot and dry in the summer (today was 109) and that is when we all grow our carrots and they do great. Mine have zero shade and like 14 hours of sun and they're perfect. However, because of the climate, everything is on auto twice daily watering, so maybe thats why they do so well

Don't cut back asparagus until the foliage turns at least yellow if not dies back completely. When it's huge and unruly, it's feeding the nutrients back to the crowns (to grow and spread) and to make seed (which are produced in what will look like teeny red berries).

Heads up on the mint; you might want to keep it in a place that you don’t mind it spreading. If in the garden, it will take over everything and choke out the rest of what you plant. Mint is extremely invasive!! I learned this the hard way. It even spread into the lawn, which was ok with me because when we mowed, it smelled amazing. lol Keep doing what you do, girl! These are symbolic milestones, but they are a true reflection of your success, of what you have been able to achieve in barely 5 years on KZfaq. You deserve it so much. We all know that the road to get where you are now was full of obstacles. Beyond the numbers, your most impressive achievement IMO is that you are so much more than a “content creator”. You create beauty, you create happiness, you create a better world for so many people who are waiting impatiently every Sunday for your new video. And it is amazing that you achieved that just by being yourself, happy, funny, beautiful, free spirited, creative, charismatic, talented… Congratulations Hannah! It is worth a celebration with wine, Champagne, or what you are in the mood for. Thank you for sharing with us these instants of your life. Everybody here is so happy for you.

Enclosing part of the porch for a pantry was a brilliant idea! You could actually turn the top of those shelves below the window into a baking counter. Great job on your garden. One tip with the basil - if you want it to keep producing, be sure to pinch off any/all blooms. Once basil blooms it tends to stop producing. Also, you'll want to harvest your herbs even if you don't want to use them right away. Don't harvest all of it, just take maybe 1/3 of the plant, and that will keep them producing. Same with the other veggies....the more you pick the more they seem to produce. You could line the inside or outside of your fence with a smaller type of hardware cloth and it will keep most of the snakes and smaller animals out - just a thought. You can also add weeds to your compost pile. Sorry for all the unsolicited advice - I just love gardening. It's so calming and therapeutic. Your wall looks AMAZING!!! Great job!

Plant some lavender around the outside sitting/eating areas at both the cabin and the cottages because they not only smell great they help keep mosquitoes away. Definitely add insulation to the wall you built to prevent anything being stored in the pantry from freezing during the winter. If you add a countertop to the area near the outlets in the pantry you can keep the toaster plugged in on the counter as well as other appliances you use but don't want taking up the little counter space in the kitchen. I would store dry goods in glass jars/containers to prevent the nice from having a feast.

2 bits of gardening info. Sunflowers are heavy feeders, especially big ones so they will deplete the nutrients in your soil. They need a slow release granular fertilizer with trace minerals. You work it into their soil about 8 inches down once a year. That puts the nutrients back into the soil. When you plant root vegtables like carrots and beets , if your soil is compact ,which yours looks like it is, you need to mix in plenty of chopped up straw or other material into your soil. I know you mixed in some stuff but maybe not enough for the root veggies . Oh, one other thing, if it is animals rather than insects getting you strawberries you might consider building a wire enclosure around them. For your first garden you are doing fabulous. I'm proud of you. Thanks for the garden tour. .

I do not have the amount of land you do but always keep a small garden of my favorite vegetables /container herbs and strawberries. Also if this is your first year with strawberries and they aren’t producing well for you do not fret! It took mine two seasons to establish themselves. I'm not one to comment usually, but in the beginning of your video, at around 4 seconds in as you are walking through ferns under a tree, you are getting a rattlesnake warning. 😨😱 If you listen, you'll hear it. You may want to take a few minutes to listen to rattlesnake sound online to familiarize yourself with the sound. ❤Depending on the size, they can be very high pitched, or very low pitched; fast or slow. If you aren't taught what the sound is, you tend to write it off as 'bugs.' Just a head's up. No need to freak out or anything, 🤣 just keep some open ears, and watch where your feet are going. good start on your garden! I like John Jeavons "Grow More Vegetables" for basic garden info. From what you showed, Id say you need to add more nitrogen fertilizer for your greens. I use composted chicken manure when I first prepare my my beds. Brassicas need about 18 inches apart. Add bone meal when fruiting begins.

Im SO proud of you and your garden. Once you start gardening, it has a way of creeping into your soul and becoming part of you ❤ Please, for the love of all things good in this world, do NOT PLANT THE MINT IN THE GROUND LOL! It also has a way of taking over your entire life (and garden) forever like a rascally little asshole you’ll never get rid of. Imagine the worst weed you’ve ever had to deal with, multiply it by 100 and sprinkle on a little cocaine and that is what mint is when it’s grown in the ground ☠️ It will literally eat you alive 🤣

Hannah's construction going strong. Mollasus, egg shell and bone meal makes good fertilizer. They make a pantry door that's shaded opaque glass with a lil graphic that says pantry. Let's light they but hides the storage. If u can tangle with a bat you can handle a garter snake. He's eating the bugs 🌙✨✨✨🌀 💜

Our house had this huge, open area as you walked into the house, totally wasted space. I did essentially what you did and created a room. I toenailed the studs into the plate and cap, sheet-rocked and taped, and hung a door. Now the entry area isn't stupid big and we have a meditation room (that my wife also uses as a sewing room).

We are so happy to see a new video from you! It’s always a pleasure to live vicariously through you until we get to set out on our own adventure. This is the first we’ve seen about the rings and we love them! We might have to order them in silver. Do you happen to have kid’s sizes available? That would be great! You’ve come a long way on your cabin. You should be super proud of yourself. ♥️ I just woke up and that peaceful rain is about to put me right back to sleep lol

Hannah, enjoyed the new video. Just purchased the silver ring; previously ordered tote and journal - can’t wait to receive all. Needed the video 😊 going outside to repot and replant. Love you and the confidence/ motivation you project. Love the new pantry project. You are amazing. I cannot wait so see your final work. Great idea and great way to utilize your space to accommodate your new adventures in cooking. 💜☀️ You rock - as always.

Depending on the variety of strawberry (June bearing vs ever bearing) you may not get strawberries until next year. If they’re June bearing they’ll all come on next June and you’ll have to make jam or something to keep up 😆 Ever bearing are better for snacking. Also if that was a garder snake, that’s a good sign for your garden. Though they still startle me too lol. You’re doing great and am so happy to see your progress on both the house and the garden!
