Its great you treat the locals with such respect. Id love if you shared your thoughts on the modern colonisation happening in Bali and how you are trying to not be just another white westerner buying up land. I visited Bali recently and loved it, however couldn't shake the uneasy feeling in Canggu especially, with so many Aussie /western owned restaurants etc i struggled to find Balinese owned places not tucked away in the back streets. People talk about the tourists bringing in money, but it often seems the locals who made Bali what it is today are not the ones to properly benefit.

This is so exciting haha, I'll be following along. Can't wait to visit when it's done!!

I don't mind if you build a villa in Bali, but I'm bothered by the words " and YOU can too", because Bali is just a small island, and the forest contains not only trees but grass, land, animals and others. There are already many villas and hotels in Bali. Don't you feel that enough if you enjoy one of them, instead of inviting people to make more buildings? Because if nature is lost, it won't be beautiful anymore.

You should be really proud of how far you have come in your journey .. and that you are building in Bali a spiritual land… you are a legend and I appreciate your vlogs 😊

From lots of insects to rats, you are likely inviting them in with this decision. You should talk to others that have made similar decisions...
