SOOOO I talked to someone who is professional at mixing vocals. He told me it sounds like live pre-recorded vocals in a studio and than lip synced on set to those live pre record. So basicly the same thing that I said, I just thought they may took the audio from the mics on set and mixed that with the pre record :D

Of course they sing live. There are two sounds, namely the backtrack sound and the vocal sounds of the members singing live. The members' original voices are above the backtrack and the volume of their live voices sounds greater. Their mic is on, that's the point. If you are kpop fans, you will know this video is like a music show on Inkigayo or Music Bank. The video had been pre-recorded but when the video was taken all the members sang live even though there were back vocals too. If you are looking forward to a real live performance then just look forward to their concerts or when they perform at award shows like MAMA, AAA, GDA, or MMA. ** this is a live performance but not real time. but all the members actually sing, not lip sync.

I think this is just your first time watching a kpop idol singing live. If you watch more of inkigayo or music bank contents, you’ll see that they always do the mixing of live vocals and having the MR while singing. Even Blackpink and other Kpop groups do that when they are performing live. Mixing of live vocals while having the MR is common in kpop live shows, since many idols have difficulty singing while dancing to intense choreography.

You can be disappointed but don't be too confident in saying this, this is an opportunity for the haters. Congratulations, you have opened the way for more haters for BabyMonster. But if you focus and did not just watched it once you will eventually gonna realize it. There is a difference in the weight of the words and sound when they sing on their parts and when not. If you are doubting then make your own mr remove of their performance. Anyways i know they can serve and slay if they did it in an actual live performance (like awards shows/festival/concert).

I listen to the clean ver of their live performance. They all sang their parts well and all of them are very stable compare to other rookie groups. Maybe that's the reason why you cant hear them and thinks its not live. Their vocals are live.

I’ve watched vocal coaches state moving while singing is extremely, extremely hard. While some are better than others it seems most artists have prerecorded or backtrack vocals playing while dancing or doing any sort of movements. Unless you just want them to stand there, this is what you’re going to get. I don’t mind it, personally I’ve spent many a nights trying to sing Michael Jackson and dancing and you can barely get a sound out after like 10 seconds lol.

For any part that everyone's voices put together like that, in this case outro, it's 100% normal to not sing live or sing quietly to not make it sound bad. Every group do it like that. For chorus, groups often sing softer than normal or not sing at all to focus on dance to increase overall performance quality. They just put on loud backtrack for this performance, so it didn't sound that raw, which fits the song. They sang live but chose where to sing loudly or quietly. For example, for Chiquita first part, it should not be sang louder than the backtrack or it will sound off. Also with that dance move, her voice is sure to be shaky no matter what, so they might not let her sing at all. For part like Rami's or Pharita's first part, it fits to sing strongly. So, the girls sang loudly and confidently. Those two have always been stable in their singing. When we say a group sings live, it doesn't mean they sang 100% of the song or 100% volume the whole song. It's absolutely normal for groups with energetic choreo.

The way I hear it... Rora, Rami, Ruka and Asa sang 100% live. Pharita like 90% live and Chiquita like... 60-70%? and yes, the dance break was totally playback, but that's normal cause it's a dance break, they're supposed to dance, not sing. However, I do agree with you that getting a 100% live performance would be nice. But for that to happen, they have to compromise dancing. Can't jump like that and sound perfect.
