I'm so happy that my son, Sam, has come out and is totally happy & comfortable with himself. I'm overwhelmed with the great, positive reactions from everyone. It took him a couple of years to get to this point where he was ready to share it with the world! Everyday he is an inspiration to me. He's a very strong, brave human being. Funny, respectful, caring, loving, even as he was struggling with this for years before being able to come out to me. I was probably more shocked than anyone at the time, but I needed to be there for him, to learn all about transgender, and was his advocate as we fought the schools, medical professionals, etc..to make sure he was treated like everybody else. Life can be cruel at times and some people are not as open minded as most should be today! Sam deserves the world, and he will get it - one way or another! I love you, Sam.. always, Mom :)

I came out gay at 23 and sadly had no support from family or relatives. You really one of the fortunate ones who has a accepting family and cudos to them. I would encourage you not to cut people from your life. Give them space by all means but keep the door open/hand out stretched to forgive them. My father dropped off everything I owned when I came out onto my friends porch and didn't speak to me for 2 years. 7 years have passed and I talk with him every day,go on hikes ect. It's because I gave him distance but I kept the door open and have forgiven him.

Hi Sam! I've been watching your channel for a while and love your content and how funny you are! So I'm 13 and am ftm trans too but I've only come out to 4 of my friends, over text... until a couple of days ago. So my mom took away my phone and went through my text and found out that I'm trans and guess what.... shes being transphobic, honestly it's sad but she thinks I need "fixing" and says "god mad you a girl blah blah blah" anyways according to her she's taking me to a therapist soon but idk when. I thought of posting this on one of your more recent videos but it didn't feel right with what you were talking about.
