I'm a believer in everything happens for a reason. Obviously it sucks that this happened, but it made you realize that you're not ready to die. I spun my car on the highway once when it was raining, my tires were bald and there were deep grooves in the road full of water and I hydroplaned. I spun through the center median and my car was sitting next to the other 2 lanes pointing in the right direction so I got lucky that I was able to drive away with no damage just grass and dirt stuck in my wheels.
