@turtletruth Let me explain reality to you.! When a cop gets a prison sentence, which is so very rare BTW, they are immedeately put into Protective Custody away from nasty criminals who would most certainly unalive them within the first 24 hours, no...they stay in protective custody, doing easy time with their buddies the corrections guards playing chess and laughing about all of the crimes they got away with. So yeah, they stay on P.C for the remainder of their sentence, nice and safe. The Justice system is a two-teired joke...!!!

It would be murder if someone else did it, and in this case it is considered murder when the cop did it. Glad we are finally establishing some accountability.
@thereissomecoolstuff
@thereissomecoolstuff Ай бұрын
@@jeffreylyons1531 that would be cool if it was true. Cops get assualted all the time. If you got assualted like that you would call and an arrest and hopefully a prosecution. The cop side it’s called resisting arrest and those charges get plea bargained right away. If I’m a cop and I’m fighting someone younger and stronger and I think I could lose my weapon I’m ending it. I’ll take my chances in court. Google Richard Herzog. Nice local story about a cop that got his ass kicked by a naked Blackman on a busy roadway in broad daylight. The Blackman got his weapon then took 4 bullets in the brain. That happened in Renton. If he shoots the unarmed Blackman he would be a killer too. Instead he was killed. Shit happens when you fight. Comply and don’t die. There isn’t enough money in the world for me to be a cop in this area.

Needs to be the law of the land in the US. Will make cops more accountable for their actions and show the people that the standards they claim are now backed by law if they are wrong. Won't effect the crime rate on the streets no different than a patrol. Car parked on every block..crooks do what crooks do no matter what, this just stops the crooks more in uniform than out of one. This doesn't make any sense! Why did this man have to fight for justice for his brother? When the Law should have stepped in and did it for him! This should be done throughout the United States. When a Policeman is sworn in as a Police Officer, they take an oath to Protect and Serve the citizens of that County, City and State! And it always end with "SO HELP ME GOD" If you're EVIL, you might as well forget about the "SO HELP ME GOD"! God does not help EVIL, CORRUPT, LYING people, that's for damn sure! Why don't "THE POLICE" know this? Are they being trained properly? Are they given the tools they need to do their job properly? It's just like any other job. If you're a plumber and you don't have the proper tools to perform the job you're task with, how are you gonna complete that job you were sent to do? You're not, you're not only gonna fail at the job, you're gonna make things worse if you try to do the job without the proper tools in the first place! Therefore causing the person who hired you anguish! Now this person has to call someone else to redo the job that someone without the proper tools tried to do and made matters worse! Do you see what I'm getting at? If these Officer's are given the proper tools to do the job they are asked to do, then there will be none of this shady business and unnecessary killings going on! If you ask me, it starts at the TOP! Maybe the person who is in charge is unqualified to be in that position! Maybe the person who is in charge doesn't have the proper tools to do the job he's asked to do! That's what it look like with ALL of these unnecessary killings by Police Officer's that are happening today! It's not just Police Officer's, it's ANYONE who doesn't have the proper tools to do the job they were hired to do, will fail! This is not hearsay. It's a FACT. I'm not trying to preach to ya. I'm telling you what God loves and that's the truth.

This is a start. Cops need to lose their qualified immunity. They can get away with breaking the law and not be held accountable because of qualified immunity. QI means that if a cop breaks the law and is taken to court even if he/she is found guilty they don't have to pay the fine or judgement. The government has to pay because of QI. Why should cops get a benefit like that if the public doesn't. QI was not enabled by congress so the public didn't have a say in it. QI was dreamed up in a court of law. for the benefit of cops. That makes it illegal.

I'm a lifelong resident of the Puget Sound area and Washington State has needed a law like this for some time. But. It is going to be difficult to balance the realities of policing with the increasing demand for accountability. Keeping this law from becoming political is going to be stone bitch. Don't get me wrong here. I'm ALL for better conduct from police. I don't think there is any circumstance short of an actual firefight that an on-duty police officer should call a member of the public that pays his salary 'motherf****r'. I think that cops who are actually crooked should do extra time in the joint for abuse of authority in addition to their other charges. But I also don't want activist types to use laws like this to 'defund the police' or weaponize the law to support any other radical agenda. And that's gonna be a hard balance to strike.

@carlhicksjr8401
@carlhicksjr8401 Ай бұрын
@@gingw7333 Everyone's Constitutional rights are modified by State and local laws, so each cop is trained on his jurisdiction's take. But I agree that there's a minority of cops that make things tough on citizens and foul the reputation of their profession. During the GWOT, I told my wife that law enforcement was gonna get pretty stupid in the next few years. Why? Because police department recruits usually come from the Army and USMC... and not the Military Police either. Most are combat arms, with a predominance of infantrymen. And we sent our infantrymen into Iraq where they spent a decade kicking in doors, conducting searches and seizures without warrants, hauling people off for interrogation in the middle night and other 'high crimes and misdemeanors'. Now, these were mostly [but certainly not all] necessary measures in a war zone. But Main St., Anytown USA, isn't Baghdad or Khandahar. And, speaking as a veteran, there is some stuff that you learn when you're 17-23 that becomes 'muscle memory' and sticks with you forever.
