There is just certain people who were born to play these roles. Margot, Ryan, Huge Jackman for wolverine, Jensen Ackles for animated red hood/Jason Todd.. sooo many. You can tell there was some really good thinking that went into people who should play these characters 👌🏻

i know exactly why everyone loves harley: shes the girl we all want to be, the girl who is fearless and does whatever the fuck she wants and has the joker who she knows deep down, will always come for her, she shows that it possible to go from a lovely and responsible therapist, to a crazy wild person, and she is able to block everything out and focus on the positive things, harleys awsome!

He gave her a box with a live snake in it. She showed a polite smile when she told that story but I bet she was not amused. It takes a special kind of asshole to mess with live animals for a 'prank'. The fact she made sure she had control over the first stand-alone Harley movie and purposely steered away from the Harley/Joker storyline, saying that's not what she was interested in seeing, is pretty telling to me. Might be that she doesn't like those two characters together regardless of who plays the Joker (their relationship is pretty damn toxic and abusive) but I've never heard her say anything positive about Leto that isn't just polite professionalism. Not having to work with him on this film is at the very least a bonus.

He’s very conscientious on set. He’s not completely lost in the character that he’s violent or anything. Between every take he asks if I’m okay." That, to me, sound more than just professionalism, but that she actually got along with him.

This interview actually makes me reconsider not watching this movie bc I loved hearing about how much care she put into the character and the fact that she pushed for certain things that didn’t end up happening that I thought were inconsistencies (like Bud and Lou)

It's amazing how Margot also thinks that cosplayers will outshine her as Harley! She has a whole team of makeupartists and people who dress her. A cosplayer is often just one person, putting together an outfit in, sometimes, 2 weeks and they do their own makeup, or (if lucky) have someone to do their back.

She. Was. Incredible. I loved this film so much and she deserves far more credit than she gets. I thought she did a wonderful job in suicide squad but we didn’t get to see enough of her in it. Birds of Prey was the film that we needed. That she deserved.

Yess! and they both talk to the audience, her character constantly does that in this movie. Well sort of because she’s schizophrenic it’s kind of her brain talking to things that aren’t there but it’s also breaking the forth wall. Sorry if that’s a spoiler

So excited for the movie! I love Margot and Harley! There should be a Mad Love movie. Kind of an origin for Harley that the first Suicide Squad touched upon but could be it's own movie.
