ROMERO ( best cb in London) in my opinion messi is the best footballer but Ronaldo best player. In the same way boxing has weight classes the way Ronaldo is king of the champions league and having success in other leagues makes him a better player (player is objective not specific to football)

He is not, but the problem is that Ole's system is lack of plan b and very defensive. Let's say vs Wolves. Both full back tucked inside to cover the center back and dmf, if Wolves have a good finisher we likely to lose that game with big margins. Were playing a literal back 6 even with varane, we can't win trophies with that kind of mentality.

His decline would have to be extremely sharp for him to not be able to still play in the top five leagues at 3-4 years. Warranted, his knee could really fall off a cliff, but in three years could he still be a 15 goal a season guy in the Premier League? Most probably. Most certainly in a league like France. If you ask me I am pretty sure he will play until at least 40, the interesting thing to me is when will he retire internationally, will he go until he retires or will he call it the day at the end of a certain tournament?

He has returned to what is, potentially, the strongest league that has ever been - in any country. He is going to be tested like he has never been tested before. He could have chosen an easy league like Messi but that's not Ronaldo's style. The premier league is his home and I have a feeling he will be playing out of his skin and winning another Ballon d'Or in the process.

PL was much better back in 06-2010. Also no current PL team matches Barça from his time at Madrid. The strongest league is the Champions League not the PL, that's where the Ballon d'Or will be determined the most.

@@nashorn7538 - One or two strong teams do not make that league the strongest there has ever been. When you talk about a strong league you look at the strength in depth. As for the PL being better in 2010 I don't think you'll have many people agreeing with you on that one. With regard to the Champions league I think it's obvious I was talking about a country's own league. But, you're entitled to you own opinion - just that it hasn't changed mine at all.

@@leolare It was also Atletico, Sevilla and Valencia. To judge the depth of the quality of a league, you need to judge the results in Europa League as well. Back then, the PL wasn't won weeks or even MONTHS before its finish as it is the case now with City or Liverpool in 19-20. Only in very recent years have they caught up with Spanish teams, which are the ones who dropped in level rather than being caught up. Back then you would have never seen CL semi finals without any english teams.

I remember when he came on as a sub in his first game, I knew from that moment he was gonna be a superstar but he way wayyyyy exceeded what I thought he'd achieve! Of course he will be a success. One if not THE greatest player to lace up a pair of boots. We are so lucky in the Premier League to get to watch him for a few years.. NEVER doubt CR7 you should've learned that lesson before. He's actually a better more efficient player than he was than the last time he was in England. And smarter. 4 more years of CR7! You watch some players/athletes getting interviewed, and you just believe what they say as you know they'll back it up. He's so hungry, humble and motivated/excited still even at 36 years of age. Amazing example to young players. He deserves everything he gets for all his hard work and dedication.

It genuinely looks like Ronaldo is happy to be back. What took me by surprise was the noticing that he looked like he had butterflies during the whole interview. Compare this to how calm and collected he usually is in the media but there was this boyish nervousness about him here, a certain desire to please almost and to be accepted in the way he was before. As a United fan, seeing this reaction has made the long wait for his return all the sweeter.
