I love traveling but you are very correct in that assessment. I’m dealing with a lot myself and a small part of me wants to run as far away as I can, as fast as I can. I won’t. My husband has been diagnosed with dementia. He is 46. It’s freaking us out. But the northern lights speak to me.

I completely understand. I'm battling ovarian cancer. I created a page Self Endurance on Facebook, just so I could have a constant reminder to myself to keep pushing through and staying positive! We seem to be the hardest on ourselves, when we should be the most forgiving to ourselves. 💜

Hi Daniel, you know my mom would always tell me when I would say to her " I am getting away for a while, and looking forward to this trip I am stressed from being here" She would then say " You enjoy yourself, but remember those problems will still be here when you get back" and that is so true they are. They don't just go away and disappear, it takes time, progress and working through them. The last 2 years have hit me hard and been horrible in my family, my Mom passed away a year ago, and Aug my brother was diagnosed with throat cancer and he has endless health issues. It opened my eyes in a way that I didn't really experience because to say I am not in pain from the loss and seeing my brother struggle I would be lying to myself and everyone. But I am learning to appreciate the simple things in life, those that we take for granted in itself. Like our loved ones, all those we love to take the time and spend the time with them. A roof over my head, food, electric, heat, and my fur baby kitty. Because of all of that, everything can be taken in an instant. So even though you might not be happy, just look at what you do have and soak in all those moments of traveling. As one day you will be able to tell your kids and other loved ones about those moments. Not to mention the people you meet along the way, and all of the connections you make there and here. It's ironic that you mention being "tired" in that context. I say "I'm tired" all the time. I know I don't mean physically tired, but I have a difficult time pinpointing why I say it, and what it really means. I think it means "I need something different". We get so caught up in our daily routines that we forget to actually live. Figuring out how to do that? Well, that's a whole other story. One day, we'll both figure it out.
