Great reaction. This is a cover though of Seal's 'Kiss from a Rose'. They have a lot of original music out now too though, including 'I rise' and 'Please Santa please'.

Analyzing the context is a bit impossible, lol. Seal insisted that listeners interpret the song however they want to, so he never explained the lyrics. This is a new cover, yes, released on their latest album last month, and this video dropped yesterday. They all vocally smashed this cover. Would a little more Kirstie be nice? Yes, but she did get a really nice moment and you can hear her soaring through the background. Mitch, Scott, and Matt passed around the lead so seamlessly and beautifully. The cello was like a sixth voice, and the song was highlighted by Kevin's high riff. Actually, this whole thing is a riff fest, with all of them emoting all over the place. LOVE it.

Kirstie - All right boys...voices and cello up Mitch - LoOove remains - MiniMitchSlap Scott - Blue Eyed Soul Dragon Drive-by Matt - Renames song 'Falsetto from a Bass' Kevin - "Hold my bow".. "BaaaaBYY!!!!".... Note all of the members except Kevin just might have a greater connection with this song than they know....we would have to ask their parents. This was some serious baby making music in the 90s. Having your song sung by Pentatonix is becoming an award...as it should be. Mitch and Kirstie have both said Kevin has the highest register in the group, his falsetto is fantastic.

Pentatonix does a Christmas album every year. This year it’s a compilation, "Pentatonix - The Greatest Christmas Hits", with 23 previously-released tracks and 8 new songs. Only two songs have official videos right now, this and "Please Santa Please". The 8 new songs are - PTX original - “Please, Santa, Please” Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)" Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" (not a Christmas song but it mentions snow 🙂) Roger Miller's "Little Toy Trains", previously done by Glen Campbell and Randy Travis A mashup of "Christmas Time is Here" (from the Peanuts Christmas) and “Pure Imagination” (from Willy Wonka) 19th century Christmas standard -- “O Holy Night"; a new version, not their 2012 arrangement A traditional African-American song, but with updated lyrics -- "Children Go Where I Send Thee" A "collaboration" using Elvis's voice from his recording of "O Little Town of Bethlehem"

Where are you geting country? Not even rock-a-billy (country rock). And the person on the cello is kevin, the beatboxer who also plays the cello, not mitch. That high pitch note, after the cello solo, is a kevin slap not mitch slap.

So, by now you know that this is a cover of a classic composition originally performed by the artist known as Seal. It is an extremely 'High Frequency' work of art, the likes of which are not being produced in today's current music scene. It was good to see such a young one get turned on and tuned in to these higher vibrations. I know that you're already familiar with PTX, but stick around and go deeper with this group. Now as you have found out their record company is stupid when it comes to copyright issues. But most reactors I have heard from (about 25-30 or so) have found they worry more about the video, so if you will make the video more transparent, or blacked out and place some text over it (your name, Pentatonix, “covered with text for copyright”, a logo just anything, and then pause now and then to talk, it will help to keep from getting blocked. With their label and YT nothing is guaranteed, but from what the other reactors have said, this things create an 80%-90% improvement, at least you meet all the written rules, unless the reviewer is having a bad day.

Country??? Are you kidding? Then clearly you have no clue what country sounds like. If anyone gives off any country vibe its kirsty, but she really doesnt. They can do country, won a grammy for their collaboration with dolly parton and her classic "Jolene". This however is not country in the slightest. Maybe pull up some rock songs and country songs and LISTEN
