The fact that he said “you put me on” speaks volumes. Women are ignoring the emotional damage he’s had to suffer for having to grow up soo fast..without a father and then having to step up and play the father role for his siblings. Who was taking care of him emotionally? Did his mom ever think maybe he drinks because he’s missing that fatherly love? She thought just buying him stuff was gonna make up for him not having emotional support as a boy? And do these women think they are helping him to stop? They are only making it worse. 😢

Parentification is when a child is forced to take on the role of an adult. When caregivers aren’t able to fully show up for themselves, children get put into developmentally inappropriate situations. As an adult, they may find it hard to trust others, manage their own emotions, and form healthy intimate relationships. They face a greater risk of anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders.

I can share something valuable to this almost nobody knows anything about. My father was abcent as well, but not as much as with this guy. (If this is real btw all of this seems like acting and weird body language if you ask me). Something people don't realize is that if a boy grows up with his mother and the father is abcent, this can cause the boy to resent the mother. Because the father is not present enough, the mother becomes TOO present for a boy. This causes damage to his male identity that every boy is looking for and this guy misses strongly. And then yes him saying ''you are my best friend ma''... your mother is not supposed to be your best friend... she is supposed to be your mother first, anything else second. So his father was not there for him. Even his mother was not there for him at times. And then the mother probably sees him as her ''best friend'' that she loves so much. His mother is the only source of love, and the only source of hurt at the same time. His mother is clearly emotionally fucked in the head (Reminds me of my own hurting mother). She is immature as shit.

You absolutely nailed this and described it perfectly. This is what i was sensing as well. When he said ''she's my best friend'' i knew what he meant. Your child is not supposed to be your best friend. The mother is immature. Perhaps borderline like my own mother. And yes because she spoiled him and showered him with motherly love this only makes him reject his mother in the end. Of the father is not present and only your mother is, she automatically becomes to present. This guy is looking for his MALE IDENTITY.... Wich is the problem so many boys are struggling with. How are you going to develop that without a dad that is present? You can't. Boys not growing up with a dad that is mentally and emotionally present grow up with a male identity that is based on symbolism. This is what creates ''alpha douchebags''. Ohhh eat meat and muscle and have a big car and money and be like a super hero is male idenitty!... is what they think. And al these women don't UNDERSTAND that. This mother is fucked up, i bet she is only sad because her oldest child is not able to play that substitute husband/friend of hers. Thats not what real love is. She is like a copy of my own mother wich i am dealing with so this is a eyeopener for me as well. This video is not about depression alone, its about him being traumatized and emotionally neglected. And instead of a experienced psychologist specialized in trauma he gets to talk to these Goblin freaks who pretend to have his interests at heart and pretend to know what is good for him, as if they have knowledge on this topic... fucking retards. Serously this video really upsets me because i'm dealing with trauma right now similar to this. Its such a invisible wound you carry with you and people have NO IDEA about these things. Its as if so many people are fucked up themselves they don't even know how to seperate healthy/unhealthy anymore. Everyone becoming narcissistic and borderline and immature as shit.

I got cussed out the other day because a woman said “having no man gives her extra time to spend with her kids”. I responded saying “please make sure you maintain a healthy balance and not burden those kids with your emotional burden.” She and others start telling me I have issues and I’m projecting 😂😂. I just repeat and left them alone because I really been seeing this since I was a kid. Never happen to me tbh caz I was the wild one who couldn’t be tamed.

This was horrible. My heart hurts for him. There was true pain behind what he was trying to say. The host were horrible and so was his mother. The best description his mother could of gave of how he “used to be” was to describe how he handled responsibility she put in him as a child smh! They wouldn’t even let him speak and when he was able to get a word out they invalidated his feelings. How terrible! I pray he was able to get help and healing from REAL professionals and not paid to play idiots on tv.

The conviction in that white ladies voice when she read his bar tab was so irritating. His face said it all. Then she had the nerve to say “on our tab”. I also struggle with alcoholism. I would say I am a functioning alcoholic but I’d lie if I say I go a day without a drink. I’ve had my own life problems & I don’t find it as an excuse but I get my peace when I get a drink & listen to music & podcast. Smoking used to be my thing but I need to stay clean for my career so that led to drinking. I say all that to say that I understand when you’re depressed it may lead to you finding things to take your mind off of it. I actually lost a friend of 20 years, two years ago to suicide. & we are only 28. From the outside looking in, it looks like life is going great. I live in a wealthy city, make good money, I take the gym very seriously but it’s what’s inside my mind that makes me feel like no one will understand. I totally empathize with this guy trying to talk to ppl who can’t even show sympathy

coming from someone that suffers from major anxiety/depression/panic attacks daily. each day is harder then the next for people like us and when ppl like this talk show put you down or dont get you, u start to resent the world only turning it in on yourself. Alot of people take their life because people dont seem to see/get their pain. So they have no one to talk to. THey dont see the signs . What he is saying is that he is tired of pretending to be his mother's husband. This usually happens to the first born of a single mother. The mother is basically making the kid become an adult before he finishes being a kid. When you have that kind of pressure on you, it definitely puts you in a dark place. You are basically being asked to be the father (a parent) to your siblings, while no one is there is being a parent for you. It's like asking a kid to fly a plane thru a storm and they were never taught how to fly a plane. However the mother is working hard to afford a nicer plane to fly. Hopefully that makes sense. In this video, he is asking how to land the plane but all these women are judging him that his flying skills are shit. Meanwhile other kids that grow up in 2 parents house holds are still at the flight academy, learning how to fly before they become adults. When he mentions the fake friends, he is basically saying his friends were jealous that he is already flying while they have to finish the academy before flying. I just hope he gets the help to land the plane and can continue with life rather than crashing that nice ass plane his mother guilted him into flying too early in life.

I can relate 100% with him. No one, was waiting to hear what that does to the mind. Its not him being ungrateful…it’s him noticing that people just wanted to be around him for the materialistic things he provided. Not truly knowing or feeling what an unconditional, loving friend is. Why would I want to feel that? How bout try feeling the feeling u had when u did something great? Something happy... Also, if ppl seriously think they have depression, then they’ll partake in the Carnivore diet to cure it. Berkley Square Piru 420 no a wake up call is making him get his shit together by himself but he can’t do that he needs help from other people, real help not this from those women that don’t understand so all they can do is criticize him. They’re saying that he’s an alcaholic which he is but if he got the mental help he needed from day one then he wouldn’t have needed to turn to alcahol as his only option. He’s depressed and a wake up call isn’t gonna help him. A wake up call is a warning to take action concerning something that is overlooked or neglected. Help would be him going to the right place with the right people getting the right help he needs

these people must not understand depression. it doesn’t matter how well somebody treats you or how much you love them, you can’t control your emotions. they say “tell us how you feel” and then say “you got it twisted” this is the worst way to approach depression. he probably has issues from not having a father and having to help raise his sisters, it’s not easy. not to mention her saying “where’s that kid?” after he says he’s depressed is so gross. i’ve been through depression and when my family forced me to do things and told me constantly i changed for the worse, it made me feel so much more shittier. all of these women aren’t understanding him. he’s blaming his mom, yes, but that’s because he’s feelings things he doesn’t understand. as a man, to openly talk about depression is hard already because you’re expected to be manly and not cry. these women genuinely frustrate me. he’s admitting he’s depressed, listen and get him help before it’s too late.

This video really gets me heated...it's clear he's a depressed young man thats fighting so many demons...and he tried telling all these women what he's going through and what's going on in his head and all they did was cut him down including his mom...I went through so much mental and physical abuse growing up including having no friends in school and getting bullied and beaten up and now that I'm an adult in my 20s I havent even gotten my life together and I have no direction...because of all the trauma and I can't even properly describe whats wrong with me and when I tried talking to my mom about it she said the same things his mom and these women told him..."you're not depressed there's nothing wrong with you, you're just being lazy cause u wanna do nothing and have it your way you're using depression as an excuse to not do anything and have it your way...." I can 100% relate to this kid.

This is the problem with single mother/parent homes. Inevitably, one of the kids has to fill in the shoes of the missing parent, and not by choice. This messes up that child's childhood, forcing them to grow before they're grown. This mother fails to recognise that the weight placed on her son so early grew too heavy. And what's with all the criticism? Why do we get surprised when men refuse to open up? This is exactly the reason why.
