I think yes, but also this shows how shady those editors are. They did not show basically any of the girls good takes. Except Shea, which I think only did good takes. The editors was like “Which take is unsaveable and we would never dream of using? Great let’s show *that* to millions of people and have it be on the internet forever.”

Zak S AMGHAR Yeah, the show really likes to build the narrative of who ever wins the challenge of the episode as an unexpected winner, talking about having a hard time or struggling at the rehearsal. Hence why I don’t think Shea gave them any bad takes to work with.

Shea was smart in that she chose not to sing at all. This allowed her to be confident and have less work done to make it professional quality. All these other girls tried singing, but can’t, and were autotuned to death.

I hate that they always play weird off-beat music when they show the queens recording vocals (maybe for copyright reasons or something? lol). Otherwise Shea's would've probably really sounded exactly the same.

Jake Duffles it can have to do with how your breath flows through the voice. If there’s a lot of closure/tension at the top of the throat then your cricothyroids are gonna get fucked. But this can also happen with overuse (yelling, screaming) or due to sickness.
