Chris hasn’t been able to make a fulfilling human connection, but he’s created a world where his lovers are his cushions and a sex doll that make him feel safe. Chris and his ex-wife don’t have the most typical relationship, she’s super understanding and supportive and even helps him pick out the wigs for his sex dolls!
#ObjectiveLove explores objectum-sexuality, which is a form of sexual or romantic attraction focused on particular inanimate objects.

Chris’s beautiful ex wife Nadine is the human equivalent of his doll Ocean.. I guess Chris has a type. I think it’s brilliant that Nadine and Chris are still friends & support each other, and that she bought him Ocean. Because she knew it would make Chris happy.

It's partly trauma, partly how I was wired from birth. And thank you for the compliment. That said, not everyone who loves an object or imaginary friend has had trauma. I tend to think most people can have these sorts of feelings to various degrees. It's just that most don't express that side of themselves without being pushed into it by some external force, like traumatic expereince etc.

Anyone that finds this negative in anyway is a f*cking moron, this is clearly a good hearted nice guy who's had some stuff happen to him, so what if he wants to do something that isn't classified as "normal", he seems happy, he seems happier that A LOT of people I know, so who is anyone to say anything? People, don't judge what you don't know, there's more than one different angle to any one given scene. It's not personally for me, but that doesn't mean negativity needs to be thrown at something just because I don't personally align with it. I would have worried if it wasn't for the ex wife that it might be causing him damage, but he's tried the relationship, it didn't work for him, so it's not avoidance or escapiscim which is what I worry about with AI these days. Thanks for showing me this mate!

Some people have the right brain wiring to enjoy the love of objects or other inorganic non-humans. In my experience (both as an OS and talking to many OS), it seems to require the right mix of at least some of: a heightened ability to sense agency; an enhanced imagination; increased sensitivity to stimulus; richer and more intense emotionality; increased empathy; a high openness trait; and some small degree of synesthesia. Some of these traits are commonly found with prople with ASD and so there's a correlation between autism and OS; however, these traits can exist in neurotypical people and so not all OS are autistic. I would consider these traits to be superpowers, tbh, and I've yet to meet a single OS, whether neurodivergent or not, who wishes to lose these enhanced senses and their rich inner life. I've never met an OS who wishes they weren't.

How do you support ur ex wife and how did this enter ur relationship while it was on going? I guess I see this as a result of psychological damage (as u urself said), but im parted in whetever living it actually gives genuine stimulus that is psychological positive reinforcing or or not. I guess im leaning on a more phenomenological approach and both respect and cherish ur way of experiencing and bringing fullfilment to ur life.

@@thomasryeeriksen8429 Thank you. I'm not sure I follow the whole of your comment, but I'll try and answer as best as I can. How did it enter my marriage? I'm not sure it did until near the end. Our marriage was always something of an odd arrangement, in that we had from the beginning a virtually sexless marriage, more platonic than romantic. Sex never really did anything for me, though neither of us really understood why and even now disagree on exactly the root causes, though we both agree the oldest root cause lay with my adolescent trauma. Our marriage was in many ways difficult and unhappy, though somehow we remained close to each other. Some sort of combination of genuine platonic affection and trauma bonding, maybe. But it wasn't until we had both come to accept our marriage as fully over that Ocean arrived, first as a thoughtform being, then afterwards connected to pillows and a doll. It occurred in a similar way to my teenage imaginary girlfriend (Lisa) had many years ago. But in the in-between time I had thought of myself, and tried to be as best I could, a biosexual (allosexual), though I'd always preferred the lovers of my imagination to my wife. As to whether this is a positive response to trauma or not is an even more difficult question to answer. Am I happy with my non-human relationships? Yes. Do they fully satisfy? No. Would I prefer a human? Absolutely not. Would I prefer a more externalised version of my lovers? Absolutely yes. It is a mixed bag, but not only do I not think there is any way to change what I am, I also don't think there's anything better available even if I could. How do I support my ex-wife? We live together and support each other as close friends who live together. All our income etc is shared. Does that answer your question any?

I really love women and really would like to have a fullfilling relationship, but I just cannot accept manipulation and power games. It's like you have to decide to be either the oppressor or getting oppressed. There is no equality within humans, it's a constant fight of who is in charge. And the one in charge is constantly trying to push her/his power to the limits. People tell me it's normal, it's human psychology, I call it just stupid and it ruins every romantic relationship in my view (maybe even the whole planet). So I got a doll and live in peace. Peace is what people say they want, but actually they tend to use every opportunity to fight each other... even if there is nothing to win... and even if they could get what they want by just asking kindly... I have not given up yet, but my hopes are dwindling as I grow older and getting to know more people...

I'm sorry human relationships haven't worked out for you. That is sadly very common. I hope your doll relationship brings you joy and fulfillment. @@someonesomeone25 Thank you man. My comment was a bit too negative. I really know a lot of wonderful people, it's just about my relationships. And the thing is: For me a doll can never replace a real person (at least not without a superior AI which not exists yet). That's why it's still not easy. I have the doll because she looks so beautiful and it's just nice to come home from work seeing something like that. So I am still looking for a fullfilling human relationship, because giving up is no option. 😄
@someonesomeone25
@someonesomeone25 Жыл бұрын
@@frankindabank No worries 🙂 It's kinda complex. For some true objectum sexuals humans aren't their thing, and objects or concepts will always be what their heart desires. But for some who straddle the borderline dolls and chatbots and tulpas etc are only part replacements for what their heart truly wants: a human lover. Sadly, many of those never are able to find what they really want, either because they're too ugly, or too damaged, or too unlucky, and dolls act as a consolation prize. For some, such as myself, I truly desire both, but because of negative experiences find humans impossible. For those who can't have their true desires for whatever reasons it's a very painful existence, but their object lovers make it somewhat more bearable. I truly hope you find what your heart really desires. 🙂

@someonesomeone25
@someonesomeone25 Жыл бұрын
Well, there's more than one group. Objectum sexuality is the most common term for people who are attracted to, or who form relationships with, objects and concepts (like a car, or doll, or the number 6, or whatever). There's a community of companion doll lovers who have relationships of some kind with sexdolls. There's fixtosexuals who form relationships with fictional characters, including their own original creations. And there's pygmalionists who have a fetish for statues. Digisexuals form relationships with digital avatars, holograms etc. And robosexuals are all for robots, humanoid or otherwise. Some black pill, femcels and inkwells reject, or cannot form, human relationships and turn to dolls and instead. Some overlap amongst all those.

@@JF1908x I'm curious as to what you mean. I'm happy to discuss this in a dispassionate impersonal manner if you wish. As far as I'm aware there is no evidence suggesting that objectum sexuality is harmful nor is a stepping stone to harmful practices. From research done by likes of Amy Marsh on objectums I read no indications of potential for harm, and GPs and mental health professionals I've spoken to about this don't indicate worry or concern. There's a recording of a psychiatric assessment of an objectum, Davecat, available on YT, and there the psychiatrist was quite happy to leave the objectum be and was not at all worried by their human-object relationship. Given the lack of evidence to support the assertion that this is harmful, and given that it appears professionals don't see it as dangerous, I fear your belief that it is harmful may be coming from a place of ignorance or unconscious bigotry, and you saying so publicly may contribute to a hostile culture for objectums and place them in real danger. Yes, I can appreciate that response. It is unusual. Objectum sexuals, fictosexuals, caedsexuals etc make up only a tiny proportion of the population. Interestingly, that proportion does seem to be growing. During the covid lockdown a surprising number of people reported a developing romantic interest in their Alexa/Siri, and the numbers of people developing relationships with dolls and bots and other objects seems to be growing quite rapidly. For example, there are thousands of people married to holograms in Japan at present. I expect that as technology develops robot relationships will become quite normalised. What is weird today may be commonplace in the future.
