Quick tip: When using the grapple blade, switch to a different weapon before you land on a wall or the floor to stop the weird animation where you cannot do anything.

I think that only works with grapple, not grapple blade.

Hi Jivan. I have recently started my improving journey by playing a bunch of 1v1’s since I lack the mechanics after being away for a couple of chapters. Something I seem to be struggling with a lot is ship damage and piece controlling an enemy when I am on height. I know how to play it out from low ground at this point, learning different build techniques and such, I, however, am horrible at finding an opportunity at piecing, or simply doing damage to my enemy if they are even remotely good. I was wondering if you could make a tips and tricks on how to play height in build battles depending on the scenario since I can’t seem to find anyone who talks on the topic anywhere. Loving the content. Keep it up!

Tbh I’m not so good either, but I found the best way for me to get an opportunity to piece control someone is by trying to predict where your opponent will go next. You piece control a spot which limits your opponent’s choices of where to go and if you do piece your opponent, then a peek should finish the job. You can maybe notice this when Jivan edit courses to a piece control although the opponent doesn’t fall for it, but it limited the opponent’s options making it so that he can now easily predict the opponent’s next move. I still don’t want you to take this tip because it’s coming from me, and I’m not much of a good player, but I’m hoping that if you do try this that you will actually improve from it. I’m hoping Jivan makes a video about this too, so we’ll just have to wait😂. Have a good day man!

@@Grenate I totally understand what you mean and i have been trying to do that a bunch! The situations I am looking for specifically are the once’s where your opponent is is blocking every angle, quadruple editing left, right and center while trying to take height. I appreciate the help tho!

what helped me is learning all the retakes jivan recommends in his how to build video and most important retake videos. The best ways to get piece in opponent above is high walls and coning them.

Hi Jivan! Even though I am not a pro I suggest that you carry big pots instead of minis when you have a medalion. Minis can heal you as much as the medalion but big pots can get you to full hp
