In the shadow of gleaming office towers and pristine technology campuses, Seattle is on the verge of another type of economic boom. But there are no initial public offerings or record profits here.
On November 24, counties across the state will certify the results from this month’s General Election. On Thursday, King County had less than 200 ballots that still needed to be processed. It's a small fraction of the 20,000 ballots that still need to be processed statewide as of late Thursday afternoon, according to figures posted on the Secretary of State's website.
It's not just health experts worried about a rollback to tighter restrictions. Business owners and others are concerned about what could happen if cases keep surging.
