What’s up Adam! I was born and raised in OC CA. It was an amazing place to live back in the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2,000’s. I eventually got tired of the high cost of living, the politics, the commutes, the overcrowding, and I left at the age of 37. I took advantage of an inter-company transfer, and moved to Colorado where I spent 4 amazing years of my life. The contrast in scenery, cost of living, and population was staggering, and I was happy as hell. Fast forward to early 2023, and my grandparents in OC started going through some health issues, so I decided to move closer to CA just in case anything were to happen. The timing couldn’t have been better since the lease for the house I was renting in CO was up in July of 23. Just like you, I’m now in Arizona going on 9 months. If you look on a map, I’m just south of Lake Pleasant in the upper most western portion of Peoria. There’s definitely something nice about being back in warmer weather, having a pool, and being near great food that I’m really enjoying. And if I need my Colorado fix, there’s Flagstaff which is just a couple of hours away. And of course my family in CA are only 4.5 hours away now, as opposed to 18 hours! At the end of the day, you’ve got to do what’s right for you in the moment, and I believe you made the right choice M8! Welcome to AZ!!!

Nice. I moved to Las Vegas in 2006 for some of those same reasons. Cali is still a close enough drive for a nice visit. Can't wait to see the finished product and to see what you have coming up. Congrats!!!

Congrats! I moved to AZ in 2003 from living in Newport on the Balboa Peninsula and love it here. It's nice to be able to drive over to CA to see the few remaining friends and family that are still there but, I enjoy all Arizona has to offer. I like going out to the different desert locations and up to the Mogollon Rim to do dispersed camping. Also, Sedona is amazing too! Looking forwarded to seeing your adventures here.

I was born in Havasu. I moved away to Manhattan Beach and the OC for 20 years.Moved back 10 years ago with three kids now. We have stand up jet skis and it is fun and a good community... however, you're crazy. It's way better out there as long as you can afford it. You lost your damn mind, unless you like 120 heat and meth.

Follow your path. Havasu as a residence has got to be awesome!

Adam well done…… I do hate clickbait titles so glad yours was accurate! I’m sure you are doing the right thing. Change isn’t always easy but in your chosen field you have to run just to standstill. It will be an exciting growth period for you. We are back in the UK now but lived in Texas from 2013 through end 2017….. we miss it terribly but went to work there too late in my life to make it work long term at the age I was. You are living the dream but you have to adapt to maintain that. Good luck with the next projects. I trust you will continue your association with the PM channel?

Moved from England to California in 1987. Left CA three years ago. It was no longer the place that it was when we moved. There is so much natural beauty and resources completely ruined by government and toxic mentality. We have never once regretted our decision and love the new life we have built. It’s surprisingly freeing to be gone.

Example, I never knew SeaDoos could carry 15 extra gallons of fuel until I viewed it on your channel during your Colorado River adventures. Now I can travel on Lake Powell to the slot canyons without worrying about range. A full 8 hours of riding. Life changer. I look forward to seeing what else you've discovered! BTW, I moved too. Vegas for me. Much more outdoor adventures than LA that are nearby. Still like LA and keep a place there as well but going less and less.

I was in Lake Havasu a few weeks ago. Make sure to check out the London bridge that’s there. Enjoy lake Havasu, I had a great time there.

We do what we feel in life that we have to do as you have. It’s cheaper but still within easy driving distance when you need to go back to California and Diesel Dog will love it as it will give him more freedom etc. So good luck ck with your move and looking forward to more adventures

Havasu is cool as hell for all these reasons, no doubt. Just remember, it is a climate for YOU GOTTA WATCH YOUR BACK, and it gets hot. And I mean friggin HOT.

Stoked you haven't disappeared completely, your seadoo camping adventures have been the full inspiration to do my first next weekend with the wife (subject to weather)I've pimped out my fish pro to turn it into a virtual Explorer pro ( cargo rack, 100L Explorer bag, windscreen and even swapped out the FP rear extension to the Explorer one to get an extra linq attachment. My 4 man Clostnature tent arrives Tuesday, I have the cotbeds, sleep pad , chairs and table (helinox ripoff version) and have modded cheap coolers and storage box from the hardware store by installing linq attachment hardware to them.....basically I've ripped off all your ideas and plan to put them to the test for the first time in 1 week ! Thanks Adam, you actually HAVE been an inspiration for me. All the best with the new digs. Can't wait for more Seadoo adventures from you. I saw those houses about a year ago and nearly moved out there but the heat in summer is oppressive.

It is worth it to commute. Purchasing power is a beautiful thing. Worst case scenario you can always move back.
