Here in Indonesia we use mineral water with sugar and little bit of ginger during the night for the first 7 days.
@hereholdthiswillya
@hereholdthiswillya 2 жыл бұрын
I'll try this. How many inches (or cm) of ginger to a liter of water? And how much sugar to the liter of water? I got chicks in the mail this spring that took 3 days instead of 2 to arrive. 3/4 fell dead in the following 2 days. Just like is happening to him. I want to have a plan to prevent that ever happening again. It was traumatic

I hatch my own chickens, after 1 full day of being hatched from the egg I’ll introduce it to starter. I’ve only been raising chickens for 6-7 months but I’ve never had a chick die from eating starter pellets.

Major Hatcheries that hatch millions of birds start them on pellets straight after hatching with no issues. His issues isn't pellets as they started dying before he had even fed them.

Doctor Daniel I have chickens myself and one off the biggest problems I had was water contamination and food contamination with there fieces. I have used small dose off potassium pemanginat in the water. And my food feeders are basically old icecream containers small holes so they can feed and not stand in it. I do believe it had been a long trip for them i have created a area it's a old deepfreaz as quarinteen area a bite extra heat from lamps for my weak chicks. Just a few sajestions I love your vids and need to get black soldier fly I'm in South Africa the feed costs so much not up to standards always eather.

DOC, i think that 72 hour long flight put a lot of stress on those chicks. the ones that you are / might be losing are the weak ones , the rest should do fine. i agree with you 72 hours is a long time to be with out water and food for little chicks, dont worry GOD will see them through this !!

Im surprised with all your experiments to produce cheaper feed etc that you have not decided to hatch your own eggs. In my experience, even here in the U.S., every time i have to rely on another company it usually ends in disappointment. Of course it would be alot of work to hatch your own eggs but your chickens would thrive! You would have better quality control.. you would not suffer as many loses. Your farm would be self sustaining!! Thank you for the great content

I really pity you. After journey for 72hrs, you shouldn't have given them pellet, you ought to have given them Starter Mash, before then you should have given then multivitamins, water and gradually starter mash. I don't think they have much problem than dehydration and stress. Continue giving multivitamins and change their food to starter mash for upward of one to two weeks for them to stabilize. Don't be depressed, everything will be alright. All the best.
