Still on a wedding high! So grateful for the team behind #IanAngParaKayJM for making this beautiful wedding come to life. From rough sketches of my dream gown, to visualizing the setting, to the little details like having the countries we have been to together instead of table numbers. Planning a wedding in Bohol where we didn't know anyone was hard, especially juggling it on top of 24 hour hospital duties as a resident doctor and JM constantly travelling in between.
When we first picked Bohol last year, it was a constant struggle of how and where. Ultimately we decided to go with Assumption of Our Lady Shrine Parish in Dauis Church for its beautiful interior and history. In 2022, dates for 2023 were already booked and our initial date was already blocked off, but it turned out well because have not it been blocked, we would have had a rainy wedding. Thank God, the weather was beautiful on our wedding day. Constant prayers, positivity and manifesting was always the key - and even if JM pestered me to have a tent for the reception 2 days before the wedding after noting heavy rains, I kept on saying "No, tiwala, it's not going to rain on our wedding day." Luckily, the moment we set foot in Bohol, the weather was sunny all throughout our stay -- which made South Palms even more beautiful. We wanted the entire beachfront for the wedding and after looking for possible venues, we fell in love with the long beach stretch and beautiful seaview, and South Palms was the best choice with its isolated white sand beach.
I kid you not, all the planning was done while JM and I were in Manila with zoom calls from our coordinator, SilverBleu and our stylist, BlueGrass. Envisioned with sketches of the theme, pinterest mood boards and color themes, we were super happy with the turn-out. We were only able to visit Bohol last Oct 1 for a very hectic weekend of last minute preparations and a prenup with Artline, our make-up artist Tfaith and Vhince Chiu, our photographer, who really captured us in our element - I knew from the start we would get him as our photographer 🌟
As I look through all the photos, i absolutely feel grateful, and incredibly happy. Thank you thank you 🌟
AND YES, med and non-med relationships work, kung may gusto, may paraan :)
