I was a Chicago native- I left Chicago because it's a corrupt city- it's too dangerous in most places here, even the affluent areas are becoming violent, not to mention the weather, high taxes and less opportunities and the unfriendly people who roaming around up here

Congratulations on moving!!! I just signed a lease and now I am trying to go abroad because I been here my whole life and I just don't feel like this is home anymore. I agree, chicago has served its purpose for me.

Omg yesss!!! That would be sooo much fun! London has always been a place of interest for me. Please keep me updated on if you do move abroad, but girl yes love Chicago, just have to experience different

Deff search for apartments outside of the main city you stay in ! I stay like 15 min outside of downtown houston and my rent is so reasonable!! The area is nice and I really love it lol

There’s no place like Chicago. People born and raised in Chicago you’ll leave because the winters but moving elsewhere you’ll end up missing it just like I do and in Tampa now but plan on moving back.

Hey! I personally have only lived with my sister and some friends from college. I would say Facebook groups definitely help as well as asking around (coworkers and family friends). I hope this helps!
