One of the rare times I agree with Colby Covington. It's dangerous for Tyson to fight at his age even if he can and does beat Jake. Moreover, Jake Paul would get demolished as bad as Ngannou did by Fury if he were to fight Canelo. This fight is very interesting. We are witnessing the matching up of two men on opposite ends of the bell curve. These two men have exactly opposite strengths and weaknesses. It's sad to see so many ageist comments. Ageism is as WRONG as racism. Both of these men are highly intelligent in their own ways. Both of these men have the capability of killing the other, and that is not something that anyone should want to see. Personally, I am very happy that this is an exhibition encounter, and I hope it is a good, entertaining match for all of us spectators, and a good payday for the fighters, promoters, producers and everyone involved. From my point of view there should be nothing but love and respect for BOTH Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.

for someone obsessed with marketing, chael seems to miss the point of jake paul. in a sport where really good fighters don't generate a lot of interest, paul has realised the value of a fight where people are convinced that the winner is obvious _on paper_ but on fight day people can't agree who will win ... so everybody is curious. paul has done a masterful job of compensating opponents' obvious advantages with the right amount of age or being in the wrong sport. and he has done far better than simply arranging fifty-fifty fights. because he generates WAY more interest when everyone (including usually chael) is certain he'll lose ... but he wins. maybe chael is too stung by picking wrong to see this clearly, but his confident public announcements of jake's imminent demise have done wonders for lining jake's pocket. and now here we are again ... but in reverse of the usual direction. on paper, tyson cannot cover the 30 year age difference against a large and definitely ok boxer. but maaaybe, tyson punches his head clean off his neck. nobody is certain, because we're comparing apples and screwdrivers, and everybody is fascinated

Mike's legacy is on the line, even if age is the glaring factor here. A KZfaq kid putting out one of the scariest HWs in the history of the sport would turn boxing on its head, for better or worse.

I think Netflix knows that they have a money maker, even when they give this fight away free to their subscribers. They do it already with massive budget movies and TV shows. They can do it much cheaper and easier with live sports (maybe) and thus creates an archive of the fight that can be watched any time. Buy your Pay Per View and then try to watch it again in a week. Good luck. Maybe this is solved with modern PPV, but I doubt it. If Netflix becomes the defacto spot for sports, then it can become the spot for free reruns of events and stuff like that too. Ya it is a small need, but it is a stone unturned. Worth a shot.

The question that remains to be answered is HOW good is Mike right now really? We dont judge musicians, artists, politicians, etc etc who are of old age. Many ventures and professionals that require physicality to a degree are also contenders at the elite level at an old age. The truth is, is that we all know that physicality dims with age, strength, speed, explosiveness, reaction time, cardio etc. However, with today's advances in sports technology in implementing PEDs, which include bioidentical compounds/ synthetic compounds for specific use, those who are guided correctly CAN maintain AND reignite a large part of what they once had if in good health and a dash of luck in genetic responses to a given protocol in a given time. Mike Tyson at 58 years old if fully trained and under the proper guidance of a team who understand these compounds just may be still a dangerous killer in the ring touching 85% of what he once was which would be enough to shock everyone and put away Paul in A boxing match. Nothing is ever certain, but this isn't black and white, young vs old. This will be worth the watch and buy in my opinion.

It's so very strange to me. Hasn't this happened before? What year was it when they thawed Tank Abbott's corpse to give a win to Kimbo Slice? People were complaining about some no name getting KZfaq views for literal backyard brawls. It was pretty clear Kimbo was going to win, even if you knew nothing about fighting.
