Saw your comment on Millennial Thinker. I was curious as to what else you had to say. It’s funny, talking about introversion and artists / people who get up and perform in front of other people. There are defiantly two sides. There is the performance side, the need to be recognised, the need for significance, and then there is the need to be left the fuck alone with our own thoughts. There is this constant internal push / pull. I’ve worked, as a mix engineer and stage manager with local aussie acts, and worked with some international in both the rock and jazz scenes. It seems the further up the ladder you go, the more relaxed are the people you encounter. The more at peace they are between their public persona, their professional persona and their private persona. Moreover, you can tell pretty quickly, who are the nice people, and who are the narcissists, and it often has a lot to do with the drugs they are, or are not taking You can tell what a person is like by they way they treat the “customer service” personnel, and the rudest people I encountered, were always the wannabes. When I encountered these douchebags, I would be professional, do my job, then, at the end of the evening, I would look them in the eye, and say to them: _“Just to give you an idea of what I do, I have worked for _dropped names here_ and they have been courteous and grateful and appreciative for the work I have done for me, and despite them being Internationally acclaimed artists, none of them have ever spoken to me in that way._ _I am here to make your show a success and to make it enjoyable for both you, your team, and the audience, your fans, and soon to be fans, who, of you look at it, at the end of the day, is the ONLY reason we are here now, it’s because of them. So please consider this for next time: Do you think what you said, and the way you said it, makes it easier, or harder for these people to enjoy themselves ?”_ I usually either get an apology, or I never get to / have to work with that person again, which, all things considered, is a favourable outcome :-) Ps. I can only say that I'm really enjoying RimWorld and Fire Emblem: Three Houses right now, highly recommended if you like games where you do a lot of people managing lol RimWorld is basically like Sims with guns FE: Three Houses is good if you like games with a lot of story and voice acting

I grew up thinking I was "shy" but being viewed as an introvert stemmed from being so freaking anxious all the time. I'm an introvert but love performing at karaoke bars ?! It's like wanting attention but not wanting anything beyond surface recognition. It's like "Hey look at me, but don't pay so much attention that you want to get to know me." If I was vastly wealthy, I'd just spread the wealth all the time, and not for friendships; my reasoning is that there is far too much poverty and way too many tycoons out there hoarding wealth that it just ruins the world. I don't need a lot of money or friends or things to be happy; in fact I think I'm happier with less than more. I can't recommend games to play because I don't know what you like, but games similar to the Sims are always fun. Oh, and Open Roller-Coaster Tycoon has brought multiplayer madness to the classic game, if that interests you. There are far too many games out there to list though.
