A5s is the most overplayed hand in poker, just because its a great bluff candidate doesnt mean you have to go for it every single time.
@rungoodmuch
@rungoodmuch Жыл бұрын
Hard to tell without being at the table and seeing the game flow. Hard to Imagine that A5s is going to great against 25 bb stacks who are 3 betting 20% of there stack. Just looking at the villians 3b sizing to stack ratio I think it signals he’s going to r/c. But again, hard to say without having all the information available that our hero has.

I agree. People overplay it a lot, only to "balance their range" because of GTO. But in a high pressure spot like that, its less likely that the other guy has a bluff. And most people dont even 3bet as wide as GTO.

Great play as usual and insane runs so far! I think that A5s hand is a great candidate for shoving in the face of tough opponents that could 3 bet light even when they are short because they know they look so strong by doing this But i think in this specific big prize tournament, and seeing how deep you were, and you were saying that you wanted to cruise smoothly to the final table and you were running good with premium hands: you should have folded A5s knowing all the facts. Its easy to say it but hard to do it when in the tournament :)

im glad to see this comment cause i was thinking the same. here where all the money is up top i doubt people will have the heart to pull these sub 30bb 3bets as much as they should if theyre not top tier

Same here, about A5c, great hand to do it, but not in this stage in this tournament. Unless, u have a read on him or you know he's very active, and are capable to do this light and quite often. imo

5:45 The AQcc hand when you called his 5 bet, flop comes QQT, you have the stone cold nuts. Nice feeling, he never has TT or QT so it’s nice to check knowing he has 1 out with aces and 2 With kings, I always like to pause the video and write the comment before the hand continues

The river spot is still a highly disputed spot amongst friends of mine. My read on the player was based on his prior decision points. Also his preflop 2.5x. I think it's a situation he revealed his hand strength and I just didnt have the best hand. I had to throw away what PIO would do. But I understand the criticism for folding river.

I can feel the pain. One moment you are top 5 chip leading and next you are out. Though I think AJs hand was a call. Flop x back is usually some sort weak Ax. It’s possible he rivered 2P with A3s or A8s. But AJ likely unblocks all the bluffs. Jx would likely bluff flop.

Loads of mistakes , to scary! That’s not a KQ bet , that’s a jack blocking bet , that trips queens , you should donk for value small size flop and turn , most of the time you do that with Fd and all straight drow combinations, you will get 2 streets of value …. Literally loads of mistakes ….
