One of the funniest moments in all of Popeye. I love how Wimpy turns his Washington/Lincoln speach back on him and Popeye doesn't seem to realize it is happening. The Paramount Popeye shorts may have looked great, but most of them are carbon copies and can't hold a candle to most of the Fleisher cartoons.

See. Old School Cartoons knew how to do a clone angle. I also liked the Fred Clones from the Flintsones.

Heh, I like how Wimpy's Popeye voice sounds pretty similar to the Professor from the 1958-1961 "Felix the Cat" episodes. And yes, I know Jack Mercer voiced Popeye, Wimpy, AND all the "Felix the Cat" characters.

I think the Popeye from the 30s is much much better then Popeye from 50s and 80s in all directions better animation, better sound, better story, better characters

That is because the 30s-40s Popeye was the REAL Popeye. The 1950s version was only for kids. Softened, less violence and worse of all no more Popeye muttering.

well she's been dummy in this episode. She feeds him lots of hamburgers that real Popeye doesn't. It wouldn't make sense today. I hope Wimpy gets a stroke from that much for impersonating Popeye. XD
