Traffic is the only bad side? Stay a bit longer. It is a heaven maybe apart from - abject poverty among some of the populace - rabies - trash management a shambles (largest landfill on fire and full) - only one sewage treatment plant, the rest probably end up in the water along the beachfronts - large amount of trash coming down the waterways ending up on the beaches during wet season -- trash burning common - increasing noise problem from clubs and the thousands of modified motorbikes - huge ormas (gangs) controlling a lot of the "business" in the tourist zones - thuggery and threats common everywhere -- complain about illegal activities and you become the "problem" - Illegal conversion of green zones (rice fields) into businesses (villas, cafes, etc) - Dangerous roads, >600 dead last year. - Scams, overcharging and theft affecting foreign tourists - Lax or non-existent health and safety many places - ....

I think this just hits home about why a lot of people are so bloody miserable in the UK, the cost of living is so poor in terms of value for money. Bali automatically gives you the vibe because you can literally do anything an it doesn’t break the bank. Good times Louis! Enjoy.

Had the privilege to travel to quite a few places, Bali is top 3 for me easily, i thought it would be a little overrated before i went but it’s such a beautiful place with a great vibe, wonderful weather, delicious food and lovely people! I live 4 hour flight south of Bali in Western Australia. I’ve been told what Bali is to Aussies is what Spain/Portugal is to the Brits. Went there for my honeymoon in 2009 and maybe 5 times since. Always welcome in Oz brother

Thailand and Indonesia are absolutely my favorite places I've visited in my travels...and i'm a man that LOVES ibiza!...I would move to Bali if it was feasible. Check out the Gili islands. amazing place.

Cannot believe what bali has become. I went back packing there for over a month 25 plus year's ago what a difference unrecognisable from the bali i stayed in. Looks like commercial demands has destroyed the place. So sad to see

me and the girlfriend did 3 weeks in bali its stunning and the locals are lovely you guys will luv it ,, get some of the cooked fresh caught fish on the beaches bloody lovely ,, enjoy u 2 👍💪. Oh one last think DONT get ice cubes in your drinks unless you know its bottled water or you be stuck to the toilet for 3 days mate

Bro not sure if you already have another villa booked I just had 2 yrs in Bali .. That cafe honey you were at in pererenan probably best option for villa for getting around that traffic.. There’s a shortcut like 500 mtr up the road from honey gets you into Canggu and Berawa with minimal traffic.. Heads up take Cindy to time warung and labrissa for sunset coconuts both places are a vibe 👌 Actually times warung has a movie night on the beach after sunset I can’t remember what night it’s on tho ..

Just be careful with the water, Ice in drinks and even salads are washed in local water. I'd only buy water from supermarkets as even some bottled water is recycled bottles with local water sold. If you get Bali Belly - you'll be hating life.
