ELO had some of the happiest music of the era, still great today. His collaboration with the Traveling Wilburies was stellar! Jeff Lynne is a legend and a treasure!!

I grew up listening to this awesome group along with a whole bunch of other talent from the era. ELO is just an amazing group and the 70's were anawesome time to grow up in and be a teenager. Another great reaction from a great group. ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they are great live - it says so much about a band. Noticing all these older people, like myself, who were teens or young teens when they were in their heyday. Lucky those who can see them in person!

I grew up listening to ELO in the 70s......fast forward to the 90s, and my son got into them......we were actually at this concert...it was amazing... my then 25yr old son, knowing ALL the songs, singing along with me, his ol' mum. The memory still makes me smile 🙂

We saw him live in 2018 and the whole concert was a two hour party. Everyone in the crowd knew every song and sang along.

The audience are your grandparents. This is what they were crazy for back then. I'm 69 yo and these songs were amazing. I breathed this and ate this for breakfast evey day.

One of many reasons they are in the rock n roll hall of fame. All over the world and Dont Walk Away are great songs by them as well, of course all their songs are great. Hard to chose just one, or two or 6. 🤘😁

The first band I ever saw in London. They had just had their first big hit with roll over Beethoven, they were supported by thin lizzy who had just had their first hit with whisky in the jar, what a night.luv ya.

Wembley Stadium is the national stadium of England and the home of English football. Put simply, it really doesn't get any better than Wembley. With 90,000 seats, it's the largest sports venue in the UK and the second-largest stadium in Europe. It’s dramatic looking too. In fact, the striking 133-metre tall arch is the world’s longest single span roof support structure and is visible right across London. Plus, there’s a sliding roof to protect fans from the elements.

Sweet! When I was in eighth grade back around 1980, I took my ELO "Out of the Blue" album to a party one of the girls at school held and someone at the party put Meat Loaf's "Bat Out of Hell" album away in my ELO album and the second record of my ELO album in someone else's Meat Loaf album. The center label on the records were the same color -- orange, iirc -- so the mistake was understandable. I went back that girl's house the next day -- she didn't live very far away -- to see if the other person had caught the mistake yet but they hadn't. Instead that girl's dad gave me his rarely played copy of Springsteen's "Born to Run" album and a very very well played copy of The Rolling Stones "Let It Bleed" album that he probably bought in 1969. Lot of pops and hisses but no scratches. Nice consolations either way.

I too was one of the lucky ones at this concert - check out 'Turn To Stone' at Hyde Park 2014, Jeff loved the fact that the crowd cheered after the 'middle fast bit'! In fact, anything from the Hyde Park gig is great - I know... I was there too near the stage!

I was at that concert....amazing. other classic songs of theirs that I do not think you have reacted to being Living Thing, Sweet Talking Woman, All Over the World, Can't Get it Out of My Head, Roll Over Beethoven, Confusion, Xanadu and The Diary of Horace Wimp.

Hi Javy!! I'm a great ELO fan since my parents heard them in the car in the late 70's and I was a very little kid. After that, I follow them forever. Jeff Lynne is so talented that the ELO performances should sound perfect live. I dream of the day they could come to my Country. Best regards from Chile!!

I think Jeff Lynne was 70 during this performance. I got to see Jeff Lynne's ELO live in Houston, TX in 2018. It was a FANTASTIC show! Also, at 4:52 is director J.J. Abrams.

This song always reminds me of the following. When I was attending Cal State Long Beach ( I graduated in 1979) my roommate had a math instructor with the last name of Stone. There were often days, when he would bust through the door and tell me to "quick, put on the ELO LP that had "Turn to Stone" on it. The instructor has turned me into stone by his lesson. Ah, those were good times!

I absolutely love reactions to live performances. Electric Light Orchestra is an amazing band. Jeff Lynne is fantastic on stage. Their music is so upbeat. I love them and you won’t find a bad song with their name on it. 🌺✌️

I graduated high school in 1976. One of my graduation gifts was tickets to an ELO concert in Shreveport LA. The music and laser show was insane! A group of kids behind me was smoking weed..first time I’d ever seen that! I was tripping!! LOL! Can you please react to a song by Normani/Cardi B called Wild Side? Thanks!

I can't believe you've never gone to a concert. I live in Boston but if I lived in New York I'd bring you to some concerts. That's just not right you love music and you could see how different it is when you're there. Concerts have been slow the last few years because of covid but it's starting to pick up.

Saw them in Tampa in 2019 and you are right - they sound better live than they do on their recordings and that is saying a lot because they sound incredible on their studio cuts. Jeff Lynne is in his early 70's and sounds no different than he did 40 years ago.

They have some good ones...but don't forget some of the other bands who do excellent live shows too, among them Rush, Queen, the Stones. you cannot go wrong with ANY live ELO song, imho, so i will recommend also a song i heard at my first concert when i was 15... the band was Yes, the year was 1978, and we all felt the world would soon throw off the shackles of the "Ism's"... ie- racism, sexism, religionism. a lot of music from then was overwhelmingly positive and this is as good as the ELO song "Turn to Stone", imho... This is the difference between a produced version and let’s say Midnight Special. Even though it’s live, the video mix shows it’s been fine tuned, and that’s a good thing. Why listen to crappy vocals? 😁❤️
