Where is Aaron Kyro???? We got this question a lot over the last year and at long last, we give you the answers from the man himself! We could not be more excited for the future of Braille and skateboarding itself. Thank you all for being a part of our journey. Let us know what videos you want Aaron to film!

If anyone plays golf, Aaron is kind of like club pro vs. tour pro. A professional who dedicated their career to teaching others rather than traveling the country/world making money with their skill. He spreads his skill throughout the community and expands it. He might not be the same level as the “tour pro” but is better than most and has the experience and personality to give to the younger generation.

This is honestly the best news I’ve heard in ages. I do find the wacky board videos entertaining, but I think the bread and butter of Braille is tutorials, skate supports and today I learned. I’m so excited to see more of these kinds of videos. And it’ll be awesome to see more of Aaron again. Just as a side note, I do credit Braille for me getting into skateboarding. I first picked up a board in the early 2000s. But much like Aaron, I was in a part of the world with no other skaters, the internet wasn’t really a thing yet and I really had no access to any information. I was literally trying to teach myself by watching the motions of the OG THPS game. Unlike Aaron though, after months of making zero progress, I got frustrated and walked away from skateboarding. Fast forward roughly 15 years. I stumbled upon one of your tutorials (I think it might have been an Ollie video). You made it look so easy and explained everything so clearly. I was hooked. I was actually working night shift that night and ended up spending the majority of my 12 hour shift watching as many of your videos as I could. That weekend I bought a board. It’s been a slow and sometimes frustrating process trying to learn to skate it my 30s, surrounded by 12 year olds who seem to be able to pick up new tricks in minutes when it takes me months (or years). But every time I give it up, a few weeks later I’ll stumble upon another Braille video and it motivates me to give it another go. Thanks very much guys.

Hey Aaron. I'm a neuroscientist and professor in San Diego who subscribed to your channel several years ago. I think it was just after Gabe showed up--little Gabe with the high voice! I'm over 50 years old now and have always been a mediocre skater. So I learned quite a few things from you about some of my lacking fundamentals. But I also always thought what you were doing here was bigger than that, because you were bringing in people to a new community, getting them to try new things and learn new things, ans changing their brains in ways that would serve them in the future. And you were getting them excited about something. You're essentially a professor of skateboarding! I appreciate the heart-felt sentiment of your apology, but you should know that you've never stopped doing that. I'm glad you're feeling more aligned with your greater purpose in life (psychologists call that "self-actualizing"), and I happen to know after watching you for so many years that you're exactly the right man for the job! No one can do the eclectic mix of things that you do. So, take pride. And yes, seeing your current skills lag behind your previous ones is tough to watch, but don't forget that those are only some skill areas. You have grown and developed in new ways that beat the pants off of anything you could have done before when you were better at some things. Your knowledge and wisdom is far superior. Thanks for everything you do! Here's to you renewing your vows in your marriage to skateboarding and to teaching others! May you have many more happy years together! 🥂

I skated back in the late 90's and early 2000's. During early covid lockdowns, i found braille on KZfaq and it made me ask myself, " I love skateboarding, why did you ever stop?" This September will be 2 years back on the board and i can say that because of the tutorials you guys post, I have learned so many new things that i did not do when i was 16. I will be 37 in September and I am way better than i was at 16! So all we can say is, Thank You! Its much harder to watch a VHS video part and try to learn tricks by what you see, or still progression photos in Thrasher than to watch a Braille tutorial. There is a reason we are seeing 13 year olds that are turning pro more frequently. Access to information!

I am a huge fan of action sports generally, started out on a razer scooter back circa 2002 -- long story short, an online presence of action sports brought me back. Braille has a lot to do with that. I'm so hyped that you all include BFree and rollerblading, Raymond Warner and scootering, the floatlife time -- all of it. Thank you for expanding what is possible and including those who often get dismissed by skateboarding's core.

Your videos helped spark his interest in skateboarding, which prompted us as a family to go out and buy skateboards. My son son has Cerebral Palsy, which affects his motor skills and behavior. I can credit your videos for helping us get out as a family and start skateboarding. This has helped my son with his coordination and social skills when we are out and about. I think you have a very worthwhile goal that you’re striving for. Thanks for the videos.

bringing guests on is something that makes me want to watch, for sure. if we could hear more about the guests and how they got in to skating or some tricks they learned recently, it would be an awesome intro for them and on theme. also, i would love more videos where a guest teaches aaron or another braille member a new trick. those were the best videos, when AK would grind a new trick with a guest. always made the best dynamics. as for tutorials, i think utilizing things like guests teaching tricks, or braille members teaching each other tricks is by far the best way to do a tutorial. it keeps people entertained while it teaches rather than having a pure technical tutorial video but still breaks the trick down in the same way. im sure there are other ways of incorporating tutorial-style content in to the other content avenues, as well. a general "how to learn new tricks" video hasnt been done imo. it wouldnt be for individual tricks, but moreso a general idea of how you approach problem-solving for new tricks, the questions you ask yourself, etc. "what am i trying to accomplish? what steps can i break it down to?" also aaron as the filmer. those videos were so chaotic in the best way lmao

It made me realize that I can do whatever I set my mind to. Those videos were very special to me because made me feel overwhelmingly optimistic and happy. Actually fingerboard is what really got me into skateboarding! I remember trying to buy a fb of Tony Hawk (the balck and white skeleton birdhouse board if you know what I mean) because it was way more affordable than a real board and I could carry it everywhere. Then I watched some tech deck tutorial videos on it's official website to learn some tricks. And after a while I found myself interested in getting a real size board. One day I did (it was way worse than a Walmart board I can assure you) and my friend randomly brought up the topic of people kickflipping a longboard out of nowhere. I said it's not possible to do that, skateboards are for tricks, longboards are for speeding and stuff. He showed me the video proof of it, and if I'm not wrong, that was a video of your channel. I didn't speak any English back then, but just because I loved how the video was made, I subscribed and kept watching. To this day, I've been watching almost every video you publish. Needless to say I improved my English along the way, thanks to you guys. Nowadays I skateboard regularly, but daily uploads are what I'm waiting for every day, not only to learn something more about skateboarding, but also to keep my English on point, and I feel like everyone on the braille team is my homies, like real friends :) Oh by the way I also got inspired from your videos when I was a beginner, and started posting some basics on my channel too. Some of them ended up getting lots of views, and I can say that I teached skateboarding basics more than anyone else ever did in my country!! Now when I go hit a skatepark, people of every age come to me and thank me for teaching them skateboarding basics (most of them are skating better then I do ahahah) So this video opened my eyes and as soon as I'm done with my final exams, I'll start making tutorials again! Aaron you do alot more than you think you do. You inspire new people to skate, you provide a baseline for entrepreneurs in this community, and you bring us all together in the best way possible. I've been watching braille since I was about 15 and I'm now 21. You and your team have created core memories for me and hundreds of thousands of other people too.

No, Aaron. Don't be sorry. You do you. You BE you. I want you to know that I always was interested in skateboarding but never dared. Now I am 43, and through your videos I picked up a board and started riding. Finally, I dare to. So thank you, Aaron Kyro. And thank you, Braille team! Love you!

YES! Glad to hear you're finally coming to Reno!!!! I just want you to know the goal of Braille is still alive and well. I'm 36, never skateboarded before and because of your insistence I'm learning now. Thank you for just being so welcoming and making skate more accessible.
