Heavily agree on the Slime argument, Im an extremely patient viewer and I understand that when a story has as much worldbuilding as Slime you will have tons of downtime, but a great production and story can make that downtime engaging. Slime, this season and the last, has had downtime that often feels like a drag, especially when characters reiterate what other characters just said, all the while we sit in the same room. Yes we are getting important info, but that wont matter if viewers are not engaged.

Rudeus's growth was shown here thanks to him now being an older brother and understanding what Norn is going through. The old Rudy would have done something pervy, but he's grown so much because he has 2 little sisters, and he has a duty to help and protect them. How can people still hate on this season?

Such a heartfelt episode. Really liked how we got both Norn and Rudy’s perspectives as they struggle to understand each other. The reconciliation felt realistic and not overly dramatic as well. No fancy words needed. Just Rudy letting Norn know that he would be there for her no matter what, and Norn taking a step forward and placing her trust in him

The Paul Norn saw in Rudy was exactly the Paul in S1 ep17. The drunk dad who realized how harsh he was towards Rudeus after being scold by Geese. She saw him as the Paul who wants to apologize to Rudeus, but wasn't sure if Rudeus will forgive him or not. The exact same situation Rudy was in that moment - he wants to make up with Norn but not sure if Norm will accept him.

This episode got me pretty emotional, I'm not even a brother, but could really relate to the idea of just learning to be patient and not giving up on someone. He didn't really know what he did, but I love that part especially that just by him being there his sister was able to work through it. Also just wanted to say, love y'alls reactions and reviews, been subscribed for a bit and don't really comment much if ever, but after watching you both for so many years just wanted to say thanks for the years of entertaining videos. Feels nice to chill out on break for a bit and just relive emotional episodes like this through different POVs.

Mushoku Tensei does have to its strength that it is a very character driven Isekai series. It can be easier to sink into character aspects when they are relatable especially. For what you're feeling with Slime, it seems to have a lot of exposition for world building, so that kind of stuff can be harder to get into and maintain engagement with a lot of information.

Reason why Linia and Pursena gave Rudeus panties was cuz he showed them his "Holy Relic" back then which was a pair of panties which gave them the impression that Rudeus was into panties. (They might be kinda right back then but circumstances lol)

They cut out the fact Aisha and Norn lived with their grandma (Zeniths mom) back in the Milis continent while Paul was looking for Zenith. Their life was a living hell there for both of them

I wish that they could have used the Manga version of this scene instead of the LN. IM sure its emotional when you read the LN but the scene from the manga hit hard with the flashbacks with rudy and the more expanded inner dialogue Norn has when looking at Rudy. This was impactful but I remember reading the manga and it hitting really hard.

😅 For this reason I tried my best to recommend it to people, and make sure people don't drop it because of the first episodes, I was just trying to show people some hope that Rudeus is actually changing, it's not a act, he really wants to be better, and if you think this is all, you will be surprised what the other big stuff to come, this is where people will actually come back, this is how people will appreciate it even more. I'm so excited, I took a lot of punches trying to convince people to not drop it 😅 🤕😵 I think it's working, people are going to enjoy it more and more.

I think the author did a great job to make a character that is flawwed and unique with that... Other isekai, slime included unfortunately, have worlds and the people in them built around MC. Yes SUBARU INCLUDED! Whole universes written solely for the main characters!

Info dumps are a complaint for light novel readers too. You get times while reading that it is just overloaded with info to set up things. I know the writers are trying to flesh out their story telling to let the readers get an insight, but it does get a tad boring if it just feels you are reading a wall of text. I've just come to accept it for what it is though at this point since I have read so many. Annoys me a bit but not enough to drop any novel 😂

I dislike they left out the part where Rudeus's grandma was verbally abusing Aisha and beating Norn while they stayed at the noble manor, Norn being afraid that Rudeus would hit her made more sense then just seeing her dad being hit by him
