My dad had an atari. Had it for so many years. Still works. Has 3 sets of controllers and 150+ games. And yes it's a collector now.

I still have my dad's atari 2600. Plus controllers, a couple dozen games and kit. But I can't play it because I don't have a tube TV. (I do plan to get the new one that plays the old games). I loved the memories around playing that thing!

@@cjpietropinto9293 ever heard of a beta? They came out before VCRs. We also had one of those. The Beta looked like VCR tapes that played in it but smaller. We have one of those as well. And it also still works.

Frankie sounds like he needs to visit my grandma in el rancho so he can wake up to the sound of farm animals, start his morning with bread and coffee, morning chores sweeping dirt floors, hauling a basket of dirty laundry on his shoulders all the way down to the river, hand wash his clothes, eat a bowl of lentil soup, head to el mercado on foot to buy ingredients for dinner, cook the dinner on open flames, shower with cold water because there's no hot water, and sleep on a hard mattress surrounded by mosquito netting with no air conditioning .

Man I remember when my mom got deported when I was in elementary, I went to Mexico with my 2 younger sisters with our mom, and those days were something, our parents never spoiled us, showed us how "work is done" yknow, like don't expect things to be given to u just cause, it depends on how much u put ur work, my father said "I work to put food in the table and have a roof over your head, ur job is to bring good grades" ill never forget those words

My NES is 31 years old. Works perfect. It went through multiple operations. It outlived all the electronics I ever owned. It's like the Nokia phone of consoles. 🎮
