I'm 18. I met a boy 3 years ago. He quickly became my best friend. We hit it off right away. He understood my past, my pain, my struggles. He made the sun shine brighter and the world seemed like a better place. We laughed during the good times and bad times, we were there for each other no matter what. I fell for him. And he fell for me. But then I realized I couldn't give him what he deserved. I told him he deserved better, and walked out of his life for a bit. Fast forward a year later, after maturing and opening my heart, we were back to square one again. We liked each other. So we gave it a shot. It was the best risk I ever took in my life. We loved each other so much. We made beautiful memories together. We made the best team. We would always solve our problems together and we were honest. We never fought because we always talked things out before it resulted to that. And then... I had to go off to university. I didn't want to make him suffer through long distance. We didn't have the same plans for the future. I wanted to get married and have kids, and he didn't. So we said goodbye. Not because we didn't love each other anymore, but because we loved each other. It was loving, respectful, and mutual. We still love each other. I just want to wait forever, hoping he'll come back to me and change his mind. I love him. I miss my best friend :(

I’m 27 still thinking of the last time I saw her walking away from me and did nothing when I was 17. Last year I saw her and then she sent me a text message to say hello and ask how I’ve been. She told me she found a good man and she has a kid now with him. She had the wedding of her dreams with him and she is living a good life. But my heart began crying when she told me that she always loved me but things just were not meant to be. She said she thought about me a lot for the first 4 or 5 years. This just breaks my heart because she is the love of my life and now it will never be. Time for an emotional comment! I used to have this old friend group back in elementary school. We never left each others sides, always had sleepovers together. Everyone was happy. Now see, ive always had anxiety, I was always worried, but I had perfected my mask of "I'm okay" but when we went into middle school, everyone else started getting anxiety too. Everyone changed. One friend left the group. Another is always sad. She was so happy in elementary school, so she had no time to prepare her mask. Now the other friend, generally isn't sad. She is happier than ever. And I am the same, still wearing a perfectly crafted mask. Everyone is sad and left exept for that one friend, who is going to leave soon, since she told me herself that the whole atmosphere is making her sad too. So im left with a single sad friend. I don't want to, but i have to teach her how to make a mask... I just want things back how they used to be.

Remember you are loved and the love you think you will never find is there and one day we all will find the happiness we do not have. If you love someone, don’t waste time, don’t overthink it, tell them, it’s better to be sad about something you poured your heart out on, then something you didn’t do and now regret. i remember the first time i invited her to a dance in my schools disco...i remember it like it was yesterday. never thought it would be one of the best decisions of my life, at the time i was doing it partially because i wanted my ex to be jealous. but as time passed by i realized how special we were... we've been through a lot, many fights and even a short breakup, but we always found a way to get back together, she was caring, loving,kind and just overall awesome... but time flies. we were not 17 years old anymore, we dont study in the same school, infact she went to a university in a different country...i stayed here, a year passes, she comes back for a summer and it was the best summer of my life, we loved each other so much, we made so many great memories... but then it was time for her to leave for her university again. i was optimistic that we can pull through this one again, but its never that simple... she wanted to give up because she couldn't take 3 more years of this, I didn't hold her back, because i believed it was the best for her... now it just hurts, every night. i started to truly believe she was the chosen one for me, i still love her, she said she will never forget me. long distance relationships suck. we could've been together if we were not separated by 6000kms.
