A friend made me read the first few chapters back in 2016, and I really disliked it. My friend, then, said: "Well, Horror just is not for you. It is fine, some people just aren't fit for Horror" And I believed her Only last year I found out that I actually really love Horror, just not this Manga. I doubt it can even be defined as Horror.

And this is why I love Madoka Magica. It handles the dark side of magical girls very well, whilst still keeping the whole concept of them perfectly intact. Also, it's quite enjoyable, short and sweet.

Okay, I finished reading the manga just a few days ago, so... *SPOILER ALERT:* To think that Aya and Yatsumura were friends? It turns out that both of them are actually sisters. And the fact that they kissed each other, it made me rethink about what I just witnessed. I really thought they were friends, but *INCEST* of all things? WTF?!

So, even with all of this crazy bulls***, the story ultimately ends with retconning all the tragedy and basically making it to where barely anything really happened? Good. F***ety. God. Seriously, making this while story bat head-biting insane (and not in the fun Q Hayashida kind of insane, just anything goes insane) was bad enough, but then it basically goes "wasted your time lol." Either the mangaka is a hack writer, or he/she's the best troll I've ever seen.

I want characters in stories to face real, lasting consequences from the events they're in, i don't want a forced happy ending that made the whole story pointless.

I don't have any problem with other people enjoying it but i genuinely don't see the point of erasing the whole story from existence. It reminds me of that season of Dallas where at the end it was revealed that the WHOLE season was a dream from one of the main characters. It just feels like a joke.

Madoka Magica is one of the greatest anime ever but unfortunately every other magical girl anime after it tried to replicate it but has failed by trying too hard to be as dark as it was when they don't get what made it so twisted I highly recommend you watch Madoka Magica even if it doesn't have a manga it will make you lose Magical girl PTSD

If you like the art check out his other work “magical girl apocalypse”. Equally bad nonsensical writing but really good gore and art imo. Also it takes a huge nosedive at the end like site does but if you’re not expecting something well written and instead the manga equivalent of a bargain bin slasher with good gore then you won’t be disappointed.

I ended up reading this entire manga, and I honestly thought it was pretty good? The writing or story wasn’t amazing or anything, but I really loved the artstyle and I just had an enjoyable read out of it. There’s some stuff I didnt like. Like, REALLY didn’t like, but I just had fun reading it. This series isn’t for everyone, but some are bound to enjoy it.

Well to take a break from this crappy manga, I recommend you to read Goodbye Eri. It’s a one shot from the same author of Chainsaw man. It’s abt 200pgs long but it’ll feel shorter when you read it in a good way. The plot summary is basically abt a highschool student with his girlfriend trying to make a good movie that will make his classmates bawl their eyes out. Sounds simple but that’s cause I’m not trying to spoil a lot of it. I have to warn you though, it has the same sadness as Chainsawman. So read it when you are mentally stable that’s what I heard from some readers. But I’m typing too much so in summary just read this one-shot

You know why you continued... Because you secretly, subconsciously liked it. I, like you, read it all, too, and while it's a heap of garbage with seemingly no redeeming qualities, I liked Aya's character development. And wanted to see her get a happy ending. Yes, it's bad, but like drugs, I got hooked. There's definitely a bit of H or fentanyl sprinkled in the dialogue and panels.
