I'm sorry, but I don't really think EVERY teen turns rebellious or submissive in their teenage years. You could be a bit of both, or non at all. If the mother had treated her children equally, it wouldn't have sparked the anger and resentment in her daughter, which in turn wouldn't have caused all these problems. I think most of the problems were caused by the mother's treatment of her daughter, and which parent in their right mind would call the cops on their own child?
@jubairomar2676
@jubairomar2676 3 жыл бұрын
@@lish877 Disagree, I've read a hadith where the noble Prophet pbuh described some women as "ungrateful to good treatment". so, your argument that if the mother had treated both equally, the daughter wouldn't behave that way is bit of a stretch. she's a teen, not a child who also consumed drugs (cocaine) and hit her brother. And the way she behaves, if I behaved that way, my mother would be equally critical of me.

How can the mother say “I do think you’re out to get me.” When the daughter confirms later maturely she was happy independently in someone else’s care and was MADE to come to Dr. Phil. This is clear child abuse. She needs to never speak to her mother again. She is worthy of so much more and better. children who suffer abuse… NEVER ENDURE THIS. YOU DO NOT DESERVE THIS. DO NOT ENDURE IT AND DO NOT BASE YOUR WORTH ON YOUR PARENTS TREATMENT OF YOU. This girl is amazing. She even after all of this agrees to put in more work to try and repair her relationship with her mother. After already going to different facilities for growth. She showed in every way she is mature and desperate for their relationship to work but that mother is clearly abusive and traumatizing her. Really sad. Hope they found peace and that girl found stability and comfort in her life with or without her mother. She certainly deserves it.

Somehow I believe her more than the mom. Our children even if they are teens are still children who need us. If your child misbehaves it's really on you as a parent, you failed the kid. After they are adults they can be responsible to fix their own behavior. But even as adults, fixing our parents mistakes it's hard and some mistakes should have never happened cause we didn't deserve a lifetime of therapy and misery.

Whenever my brother and i fight my parents would always pick his side saying that he's more older than me that's why i should respect him even tho we're fighting because of how my brother treats me, like everything he wants me to do a chore he would pinch and pull out my hair. And the sad part is, they don't even let me explain. And if i managed to, they wouldn't understand it. And everytime i make jokes they wouldn't laugh, but when my brother makes one?they would even if its cringey. My father would always tell me that there's nothing going to happen to my life when i grow up, im just gonna get married with no job and get abused by my FuTUre husband. AND AS IF I WOULD LIKE TO GET MARRIED?

Watching her brother laugh while his sister is hurting is absolutely horrible! The mother seems completely tuned out and disconnected from her daughter. That daughter needs counseling and to go no contact! I wonder what happened to this family. I need a follow up. I wanted to hug that daughter so bad and tell her she is worthy! These mothers play favorites and damage their children for a lifetime. How awful! The mother has unresolved feelings toward girls because of her sister, which is also sad.

Got the similar problem with my mom, bro and I. Only difference is that my bro who's a doc is super humble unlike me, but I guess making her favourite obvious is what have pushed me over the breaking point.

This is my house completely, my sister is the favorite. She can act/say anything she wants. I completely understand where she is coming from it makes the child feel unwanted and unappreciated. I still feel this often and people who go through this don’t deserve it

my parents did both sometimes theyed show clear bias and say "we have always been equal" it was so frustrating theyd lie to ur face, and some times they be like "his clearly our favorite" i dnt know which is worse, parents should learn that although its natural to love one child a little more this should never be felt by the children.

At the end (3:08) I felt too bad for the teenage girl. The fact that her brother is having a good laugh and doesn't even care about what's going disgusts me as well. If I was her I would suggest to just leave the house and to somewhere else because they don't deserve a daughter like her. Life really is like that sometime though 😬

Everyone is putting hate on the brother. The girl reminds me of one of my sisters. Always complaining and accusing our parents of having favorites.The truth was that she was really hard to get along with. She was so drama. ALWAYS crying miserable. If parents were working late and picked up food she would complain because of what it would do to her weight and skin and cause a scene. The rest of the family just ate it. When my mom would suggest that she could cook herself something else, She would complain about having to cook. Till this day she is a Debbie Downer. It wasn't favoritism it was coping.

The twin brother is smirking because he knows he's the favorite but also knows that he can get away with anything so he doesn't care that his sister is hurting. He'll get his comeuppance in the real world when he finds out not everyone is going to give him special treatment like his mommy did.
