He's not wrong tho. Eddie the realest in the business but he's feared like he's New Jack & I don't really understand why. He can murder ppl on a promo either laced with 4 letter words or without. He can wrestle his ass off, he can sell. And everyone who's being established today, learned & benefited a lot from crossing paths with him. If I were a promoter, instead of taking junk to the hand of Midas & have him make it gold. I'd cut off & secure the hand for myself. I know Eddie isn't as refined as other wrestling stars nor does he look like them but there have been plenty of cats without a six pack that have gone down as legends in this business. I first learnt of Eddie Kingston when he signed with AEW. I became a fan of his ever since. As of writing this we are just two days removed from Punk and Kingston having one of the best segments of 2021 with their face-to-face on Rampage. This promo gave me CM Punk Pipe Bomb vibes from 2011 only if Punk wasn’t limited to the PG13 rating on. The reason why I like this promo is because I bet Eddie Kingston was genuinely annoyed that he has been with all the guys, helped make them grow and they are the ones succeeding and he is struggling to pay his mortgage. Now look at Eddie Kingston. What a fantastic story. I can’t wait for Punk vs Kingston at Full Gear

Listening to this promo and looking at where Eddie is now, how can you NOT root for the guy? The realest and most relatable man in wrestling today. Long overpaid his dues in the indies. Now he's finally hitting the big time. And you just love to see it.

I just realised. No one ever uses physicallity in their promos like Eddie does here. And it adds *so* much to the drama. Wrestlers take one hit before a heel promo and stay down the whole time when that's not at all how things go it matches. Plus it makes the heel look so much more intimidating and intelligent while punctuating what they say. Eddie is a fucking genius man.

Eddie Kingston is a man who really does deserve to be in any main event. He is such an old school brawler that the sport today has blazed past and forgotten. The most popular and money making wrestler of all time, Stone Cold Steve Austin, used to be a great worker then realized he couldnt get anywhere until he changed his style and cut promos like this one. Kingston deserves more credit than he has ever received and is a genuine main event talent no one realizes they need.

This kind hits different now that he has the belt and beat walter in maybe the "realest" match ever in WWE.

Eddie Kingston is one of very, very wrestlers I feel is too good for WWE and/or AEW. His promos are amazing. His wrestling his on-point. If there was an Independent Wrestling Hall Of Fame, he is undoubtedly up there as one of the firsts to go in. However, with all his work in the UK indy scene lately and EVOLVE in the past few years, it wouldn't surprise me if he signed with WWE in the next few years after he's finished up with the NWA.
