The color is really pretty. I think your subscribers watch your channel to see if certain colors are easier to wear in real life or not. I love that people are more accepting of non-natural colors now as long as it suits them. It's not about hair being natural, it's about being fabulous.

even though it's not very brown this colour still suits you! as a hairdresser myself i would recommend you try to make it more brown by adding tiny hints of diluted green to it instead of purple! you can neutralize colour by going across the colour wheel, therefore purple/silver is for yellow and light blonde tones. green cancels out red :)

You can go over your stash of hair dyes and mix brown with different combinations, like red and green! And control the intensity and undertone adding blue or yellow 😊 Also, those two colors might have turned out even better by pre-mixing them together.

I've been growing my roots out for years, my natural growth is to my chin now and I chopped all the dyed/damaged remnants off last week (7 inches) so I'm starting off fresh with virgin hair. It's the first time I've had my own hair color in my adult life and it feels great! I haven't had heathy hair in 10 years, it feels amazing 🤩 I've noticed this natural hair trend amongst us more 'alternative' girlies and i'm here for it, i'm enjoying having my piercings/makeup/outfit be the standout rather than my hair these days, it's like a reset for my self expression & it's been refreshing

Phew I’m glad that you said you are you and you will probably always experiment with colourful hair. At first I was a bit sad because I am probably deemed too old by people to have brightly coloured hair but it’s just a part of me and I’ve tried to go natural before but it just didn’t feel like me and more that I was trying to conform to societies idea of what they deem should be right for me so I went back to my bright coloured hair and felt like me again.

I would like to see you with an actual cool toned brown, so I say do the crazy dark colors first with red in them and once you bleach your hair and tone it cooler shade you should try the brown :)

When I was little I always hoped my natural hair would turn to something I liked more than just that ashy nothing and I always felt bored with it. I’ve always loved the idea of having a different hair every once in a while as it seemed something fun. Also when I was in 4th grade my mom allowed me to have my hair dyed during summer break with this packet of red-ish-brown 8 wash toner (balsam/conditioner/whatever it was back in the day) but that lil thing decided to stay in my hair forever. So my hair were always tinted somewhat red-ish-light-brown-ish for as long as it eventually got cut off. In 5th/6th grade I finally got my long hair cut off and bleached highlights by a professionally trained person and it was so much fun for me. I got some more highlights in the following year and then I messed up my own bangs in 8th grade and hated myself for it (also regretted as I had the longest hair ever and now it feels the only way to not spend two decades waiting for it to grow back is to get extensions) so in 9th grade I had new short cut and dark brown hair. I did like my look for the graduation and then I started to really wish for more diversity in hair color world. So over the next couple years I had somewhat brown-ish hair and at some points slightly blonde-ish era where I realized maybe my roots are not as grey anymore but more like blonde-copper-y (and that’s kinda odd as my mom had copper baby hair that turned grey tone (ashy-?) while I was completely platinum blonde and idk about my gran cause her senior hair was black for some reason) however I changed school and met new people to befriend and then in like 11th or 12th grade I learned about this one store that sold Russian hair dyes and balsams (balms?) in colors that only existed as hair dyes in my dreams. And I still had brown hair for my following graduation which also grew out and I liked how I looked (probably one of the last times I’ve ever liked myself before dysmorphia hit me to the extreme). And then I got a good fade with tiny bit of bleach and for the first time tried the pink conditioner (balsam? balm? idk how to correctly name them in english as it’s not my native language and I still don’t know how to call many things) and new cut and I rocked a completely new look that I really liked on me (like a new style as well cause I look back and adore how I looked then) But ever since then (I was about 20) I kept to reach for the pink but later I suddenly decided to try one of the most dangerous color - black - but soon realized it’s absolutely not for me & my pale skin and too short hair. I got red/brown box dye and it lowkey ended black era. I now wish I knew to do it with the temporary dye instead as now I have seen enough to know it does wash/fade out kinda fun for my taste. So then I turned back to brown for a moment and a new cut as I got my first proper job. And my delight to discover they don’t forbid crazy looks (I also was into piercings and hoped for a tattoo) so over the following 8 years I not only experienced new hair dyes that weren’t the typical 4 colors but also some piercings and absolutely no tattoo but also new clothes and other fun things I was finally able to afford and experience. And all that has been so fun. I once more got degraded back to boring kind of brown (my then bf didn’t like my fun hair) but also had my hair grown out a bit for the last time ever as well as I did my last selfie shoot spontaneously that I still occasionally use as pfps. However 5 years ago I was back to my wild hair experimenting as more new brands appeared in drug store and I was made aware of more cool stuff and finally I was able to actually have fun. I’ve had basically all of the colors at this point and found my two go-to ones I have enjoyed the most. Unfortunately too much bleach and my impatience made me part with the last shred of hope for long hair (at this point my hair is decent enough but just has stopped growing altogether). Now im 34 and have been purple for the past two years since a new permanent purple dye appeared and I’ve been on lookout for that L’Oréal hi-lift magenta that just isn’t available anywhere near so I have to do with purple and what other options are. Recently I box-bleached my hair a bit to lighten up my base before applying the permanent purple hopefully in a lighter shade (it had gotten a bit too red/brown from my previous reds that I got into after watching Good Omens) and I hoped to make it less dark. Well… it faded.. very fast… So then I got my previous beloved purple/violet and slapped on top and now it’s so vibrant.. still darker but more even at least. Which I wanted. And I also have new job and gotta say I love how Scandinavian people support a person with fun looks. There’s few teal, some purple, bright red somewhere and tattooed and pierced people walking through the office. Sure locals are not like this but Norwegian people are so cool to look at. And even my small team seems to be accepting or at least not openly showing anything against my bright hair. So now I just wish I had long hair but I guess hopefully one day I can be patient enough. And one day few years ago I saw a 70 year old lady with long bright pastel pink curly hair in a leather wide brim hat, leather jacket & flowy kind of midi dress & long army style boots and gotta say she was so pretty and gorgeous! It felt as if I saw myself in some 50+ years in future as that lady was such a vibe and so unique among the sea of same looking people. It was so invigorating and lifting cause I knew that will be me walking the streets with my hair either pink or purple or both (maybe even a rainbow) and that will be me having the joy and vibe. That summer I also got random people on public transport saying compliments about my pink hair and I recall having huge smile and certain golden light about me for that entire week. So ain’t gonna tell myself no to something so fun when the life itself is so dark and gloomy and depressing. My hair color is my protest & therapy against the gloom. And I wish everyone could be like that. Life’s too short for one hair color or piercing or tattoo or style or whatever really. Just be you and have fun with that ❤

IDK if this will help, but I have orange hair too and I only bleach my hair maybe twice a year. I keep a demi permanent dark brown at my roots and blend it with the orange and just touch up both. I will be bringing the bleached part up this month because my bangs almost have no orange left lol but it has been an easy way to maintain a fun color and keep my hair healthier! I thought the same thing, I am 32 and love having unnatural hair. I have been doing unnatural colors since I was 21 and moved out of my mom's house. My family always wants me to have natural hair. but I love being different. It is everyone else problem if they have a problem with my hair and age. I had two older ladies at a wedding tell me to always have fun with my hair, and to keep it fun colors. you only live once.

I vote for the chocolate cherry and you are for sure not too old for fun colors. I am a bit older than you and I still love the fun colors in my hair. I go for darker fashion colors because the bleach did a number on my hair but you never get too old to enjoy your hair color.

Never too old. I had colored hair for over than 10 years. But i hated to dye and bleach. Just timeconsuming. So i go back to natural and let it growing out for 5 years. Now i just "dye" it with directions, sonetimes red or purple. I love that it washed out

If you put a light mint on top, it would make a pretty brown!

Each of the colors is pretty and would look really pretty on you if it weren’t so patchy and uneven. With hair as long as yours you needed one container to really cover your roots and 2 or 3 containers for the mids and ends. The bottom of your hair toward the back is still yellowish.

Don't EVER say you are too old for ANYTHING in life. It's YOUR life do whatever the fuck you want. And don't let anyone make you feel bad about what you like.
