My family has been there since 1922. My grandfather had a store on that location in the 40's, He could remember US 1 when it was dirt.

I take my Iphone, and have my brother ride me through the area and I film both sides of the highway, up and down. I have a video from the 90's ... Cool to see what has changed

The big lake and Hotels were on the town side of the tracks, The lake is no longer there and all the hotels burned over the years. (My famiily owns the Thrift Shop and Car detailing building) in the 50's and 60's it was a Red And White Grocery Store and a Gulf Gas Station.
