They're getting ready to build a brand new semi pro baseball stadium downtown for the Carolina Mudcats! Also we have a beautiful new YMCA downtown. Wilson coming on strong after a long while just idling.

I was born in Wilson in 1952. Had a great childhood there before we moved to Maryland in 1960. My father was from Calypso, NC and my mother was from Concord, NC. I remember Recreation Park, Dick's Hot Dogs and Parker's Barbecue. I think they are all still there.

The whirly park used to be in Virgil's yard out by Lucama. It was a cool spot to drive out to at night as a teen young adult. After he died his art was donated and I'm glad it is preserved. We used to call it Acid Park when it was in his yard.

Thank you for the video, my wife and I just perches a house in Wilson in south point estate. My plans are to retire in five years God willing and starting a business in Wilson.the people in Wilson made us feel so welcome. We work and live part time in the north. People from the north asked me how is it in Wilson. I tell them Wilson is what America should be🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I'm from Tarboro, Nc which isn't far from Wilson but my Moms side of the family are all from this town and Worrell's was the name of the seafood restaurant that was there for years! I used to love eating there as a kid, they had really unique pirate and sea-type decorations always all over the inside and outside when it was still in operation

Yes you do need to get out of Wilson NC!! Got nothing in there!! If you want to go somewhere else comes to Baltimore Maryland.. we got BEST!! Of The BEST!! sea food in Baltimore Maryland also Baltimore got a lot History
