Around 10:50 in you were looking at the Explorer and saying about the light being on. It has sentinel lights and the on/off delay control is on the bottom of the rear view mirror. Very nice looking explorer, had a few myself. My last one was a 2000 XLT 5.0 AWD that I had a nice exhaust system on. For those who do not know. The 5.0 explorer was only offered in AWD or 2WD only. No 4x4 option

LOVE that Explorer! My cousin had a 1999 Ford Explorer (Also in white)....he had so much bass in the back, I remember him taking me home from school one day and as we were leaving, people were turning their systems up and he blew out the back window. ..some students were smoking cigarettes in their vehicles, we were smoking weed and bumping Master P, Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat....I still listen to those old albums to this day. Was so much fun. (he actually thought he could outrun the police in it....that didn't end well for him LOL)

I like those older Caprice's. I bought a retired 90 or 92 Caprice cop car. It had vinyl bucket seats in front and a hard plastic bench in the back. Someone put Armorall on the front and they were super slippery. Only the driver's side was electric. It also had a rubber floor mat that completely covered the floor front to back and left to right. I went to a junk yard and pulled some really nice seats in the same color out of a Buick Roadmaster along with the wiring harness. I pulled the wires for the passenger seat out of the harness as the connectors were all attached. I also ordered a carpet pre-formed to a Caprice floor pan. I never checked the top speed, but it didn't take much to be up to 110 mph. Sold it to a friend I worked with that was in need of a newer car pretty bad. I didn't make much off it, but had fun putting it together.

I do get the nostalgia related to cars from your youth. I think it affects every generation and why you have a classic car following. Those Mitsubishi's were great cars back then and rivaled the other imports of that era. They just never took off in the U.S. in the way Honda and Toyota did. I had two Colts in college with the 1.5 L. They were excellent cars and very reliable.

Caprice is awesome when gas was $ 1.15 a gallon. Now at $ 4.00- that 25 gallon tank hurts paying a Benny Franklin out of pocket because under severe use, u could burn a full tank in 7 hours.

I loved the 90's. I was born in 79 and my first car was a 1984 Chevy malibu. Got the car for $50 cause the guy said the engine was shot. Well just to say another $50 in parts and I got it running. Of course I did the old popular at the time cut off the exhause and replaced it with flex pipe and a glass pack. Man that 3.8L V6 sounded mean lol. I live in central wisconsin and I drove that old girl to Mackinac Island and worked there for the summer when I was 16. When I got back after working the whole summer there My parents bought me a 1989 Dodge shadow with the little 4 cylinder and a 5 speed manual. I loved that car lol. But parents bought me that and had me sell my mailbu because they said I deserved it for being so determined. So I had maybe a total of $100 into that malibu and ended up selling it for $300. I made money and the guy though he got a steal lol. I miss those old days :-)

It's great to see new content & we the viewers appreciate the walk arounds. My fascination will the 80's & 90's cars is just the design element. Personally think that was the golden era of unique vehicle designs. The 2nd gen Explorer design is my favorite due to its' rounded edges. If that vehicle could get back running, I'd see no problem getting 5K for it. And the Chevy Caprice was such an iconic stout looking car. Anyone else reminded of Jumanji movie when see them?

Hi Randy, We're not 10 minutes into the video, and we're again in pickup land. Suggestion: Why don't you get a small backpack and put an extra booster pack in it? One never knows when it will come in handy. I owned a Plymouth Lazer. I can't remember the year, maybe around 1984 -1985. It had a turbo engine and 5-speed transmission and was the best car I ever owned.

Im same as you Randy. I love cars of the 70s-90s because I grew up with those cars and they always will be markers of youth and joy. As a good shade tree mechanic I have the same advantage as you. I get to drive any era car as a daily driver and know I can fix nearly anything that breaks. Looking to snap up a 70 Ford Thunderbird in a year or two and an Escalade by the end of first quarter 2025. I am going to see if I can snag a good one from the Copart lot in the area where dealers offload their overstock. Randy you taught me a lot that can save a fortune on cars. Thanks man! Take care of yourself and rest up!

You gotta pay attention to the leaf springs and make sure there not rusted out cause if they are don't drive it it will kill you by crushing you with the roof it was a very common issue gives it the G body shuffle of death there was also a fire problem i think in the dash or somewhere inside the car that caused a massive fire and pretty much totaled the car I remember hearing about those problems a while ago and there not extremely common issues but eventually one of those issues sends them to the junkyard
