Dunkey uploading three times in a row and gaining three times as many subscribers than during normal three days signal the algorithm to put him on trending. The algorithm essentially sees Dunkey's 6-7 million subscriber channel as "revived".

Most of his videos have been hitting trending for at least a few months now.
