Can I sculpt the SCARIEST Mimic on KZfaq ... ?
In todays video I use Super Sculpy to make a terrifying DND Mutant Mimic, so scary that now I can't sleep. This is my first time using super sculpy clay and I'm pretty pleased with the results. This video was a collaboration set up by John Lombardi over at Tabletop Witch craft. He challenged myself and 4 other crafters to make a Mimic, and today you can see the completion of all of these projects!
Make sure to check out everyones contribution to this fun collaboration, here are the links to their projects :)

The crab legs were a stroke of genius. They make it unique and add an extra level of intrigue and horror without being too outlandish. It’s the kind of genius you can rarely find outside of a child’s imagination. The choice to take her advice really paid off. Make sure you tell her that.

After watching all of the videos, I declare you the winner, mainly because of including your child for the cuteness factor. Seriously, the crab legs really bring it to another level. I am glad to see you using polymer clay, and can't wait to see how you incorporate into future builds. Uvula is a fun word though. Let's go with Uvula for the dangly mouth bit.

This is one of my favourite projects of yours yet! It turned out amazing, and your daughter’s also a genius. Seeing you crafting with her and working it all through with her reminded me of making stuff with my dad as a kid, which is where I get my love of crafting from today. I know she will look back on these sessions with immense fondness one day, and you’re giving her the incredible gift of creativity and self expression from an early age. A favorite bit of lore i like to put into Mimics especially Treasure mimics is that they arent completely hostile. They think you are trying to instead take the treasure inside of them. Which really wouldnt be all that bad unless you ask yourself "Where do mimics come from?" baby mimics are to small to be treasure chests right?? Instead they start off at gems and coins and hide inside the parents mouth like certain fish do. The real fun part about this is the players don't know this tidbit so if you add it to your lore think about how this could affect your team after they take the "treasure" after killing it. Perhaps their items randomly get duplicated as mimics grow, perhaps they get a pet mimic, perhaps after a while if they don't notice certain items getting duplicated (perhaps in a bottomless bag that they dont check) start attacking them!! I love mimics they are the one monster i can never stop thinking about. Also i love this design you have for a mimic your daughter actually sparked a new bit of mimic idea/s for me. Crab Chest mimic.... Where would it come from where would it live how would it develop the crab like appearance.. Underwater adventure!!! Underwater adventure that takes place on a large titanic like sunken ship where a lot of things are mimics for some unknown reason. Turning out the reason why the mimics are atracted to it is b/c after you grab the main item turns out the ship is a mimic!! Mimic ships are horrifying to fight!!
