The doll is beautiful, but u really need to work on mermaids tails. The clay is entirely too thick and makes her look deformed. It’s not a smooth transition from upper to lower half.

I didn't like the tail. Look sooooo big for this tiny body and weird at the same time. Please next time try to make normal tail with normal shape or maybe even material tail. Also Lagoona's tail was bad tho they look like a vase

I think Poppen just likes her mermaids to have big hips lol. I've noticed it too. She always adds padding to the hips, I assume to make a more defined difference between the hips and the tiny waist. Seems to be a personal preference.

It is a big peeve of mine that the tails never seem to fit right. It just spoils the whole effect to me but that's my personal opinion. Hope everyone is doing well

Yes I have to say I agree completely. I love Poppen’s videos but the hips are always too wide on her mermaids and the tail is too long as well. It ends up looking like a regular girl sitting inside a fake tail, almost like she’s popping out of a cake at a surprise party 🎂

Oh yes! I think that kind of tail would look great on the new Clawdeen's body G3 but not on this slim body, it look a little weird to me

This doll is absolutely STUNNING! The face is so ethereal and the shining tail is so pretty. The doll really looks like Halle too. I personally prefer your doll over Disney's.

She's quite lovely - just a couple of things that could make her perfect, mostly to do with the tail. Why is the apoxie sculp applied so thickly at her hips? It's difficult to see her as youthful when her hips are so matronly. Could a thinner layer be applied to prevent that? And why is the the tail always so long? The fins should be right at the end of where her legs and feet would be (if she had them). She looks like she's part eel with the length they have here. Other than those two things, I think she's beautiful.

Who's to say what a mermaid "should" look like? They aren't real. Haha! What if a "real mermaid" was a fish on the top half and had human legs on the bottom half? 🤔 😂

Beautiful doll! One thing I would say, though, is that I think the tail is a disproportionate size in relation to the dolls actual body.

You made her hair, tail and top so much more vibrant than Disney did, your doll is so much better than what they did for her. Though I will say, and this is just my opinion but I think you made the hips of the tail a bit too big compared to the rest of the body.

Yeah, bigger hips are one thing but she always makes her tails huge and out of place. Also I don't know why Disney keeps making their movies so destaturated looking...

I really wish the tail was more proportional, the hips and below are far to big for such a tiny upper body. Other than that the doll was lovely. Not many artists seem able to get the right tail to body ratio though

In 1995 I think barbie did a jewel mermaid and I was obsessed with her... This gives me the same vibes... So shiny and jewel toned... Just wonderful

Ohh Where is her beauty mark above her eye brow 😢, and I noticed that all of the mermaids you customize their tails are so big compared to thier tiny body , but other than this its perfect ❤️

The hair turned out amazing and her face is gorgeous, as always. As a long time fan I would like to see you refine your mermaid technique, though. Her "hips" are enormous compared to her waist and the tails are always in that same position and very long compared to their torsos. I think removing the entire legs, not just above the knees, and building the whole lower body from scratch would work much better, and you should experiment with some different positions, or even just straight down like a classic mermaid doll, and simply use doll stands with them. You're always leveling up and improving your skills and I KNOW you can take these ones to a whole new level!

Your artistic work is always fabulous. Face transformations are perhaps the best on KZfaq not to mention your attention to details! Sterling work indeed! I think you only have one weakness and that is in making mermaid tails. They look too…bulky, especially around the hips. I always imagine them to have slim, graceful tails. Just my humble opinion

Her face is sooooo super gorgeous!! Idk how you made her fave so good so stunning, you are truly an artist! And the dreads how you solved it is so creative, her hair looks very very pretty and good!! Also i loved loved loved the glitters in all the colors and the fin design with gold. The tail shape and size is much better than your previous mermaid dolls but i still hope next time it could be smaller and more smooth but the end result still looks really good and i love the doll!!❤

Thanks to you some time ago, I've ordered Apoxie sculpt several times already and LOVE working with it so much. It doesn't shrink, doesn't need to be 'cooked' in an oven, you can sand, paint, drill it. Love this stuff and it's perfect for the art I do and it sticks to anything.

Love the tail. Your progressing do well with them getting them skinnier. For using clays you might want to look into other forms of air dry clay. Dolllighful has done several experiments using aur dry claw and it seems to work well for bulk stuff

You can always use aluminum foil to bulk up an area so you don't have to use as much of the apoxy sculpt. It'll stop the doll from being overly heavy if that's ever a concern too.

Mattel has realised the Movie Arielle Doll. Her Sisters, too. It would be cool if you make the Mattel Arielle in your realistic Style. I'm honest, I love your Dolls and your Work. You are amazingly talented but all your Mermaid Tails are very big. For me a little to big for the skinny Body of a Monster High Doll. Many Artists used the original Legs as Base. For an example @MariaLazar. Her Tails are adorable and so beautiful.

The doll is beautiful but the mermaid body is more skinny the hips is so bulky than the mermaid body of the movie for all the others parts is so beauty and well done. If the part of hips corrected to slender one its perfect. 😊

Incredible transformation as ALWAYS!! I'm curious, do you keep the ears/other extra bits you take off from the dolls every now and again? If so, have you ever thought about making a doll with many of those extras? Four ears, many fins, etc?

Beautiful as usual ❤ although Id love to see you experiment with a different tail style, I always find them too bulky. I understand it’s so that the doll can stand up though. But maybe you can use a doll stand?

I love your dolls and your creativity! But I always feel weird about the mermaid ones... the tail is a little bulky compared to all of your fine details on everything else I do imagine it's not easy to get on point, but it lacks elegance in my opinion :(

Finaly someone not so sceptical about new movie! Ariel is my alltime favorite princess. And I like to focus on good sides of every movie in general, not to be critical. And I love dread locks, I have them myself...

I think the hip is too big for MH thin body and the hair should be more curl / dreadlocks rather than just a straight. Hipe you can accept this suggestion. Thank you. But overall i adore your works! 👍😊

I think she turned out beautifully. I know some are saying the tail is not to their liking, but it reminds me of the mermaid from Cuphead, and I rather like that vampy curvy exaggerated cartoon style. I did think someone had a good idea about layering resin on the tail, but resin can be tricky, too, and dangerous when breathing in.

Nailed it! Such an incredible job. I love the tail. Just the right amount of glitter, which is pretty much all the glitter. LOL I'm actually holding out hope that you might do a Selena doll. She was one of the first Latina icon for us that really incorporated cool fashion trends. The top you made for Ariel just reminded me that it would be something Selena would wear. 😎👍

Before her eyes were painted in it looked like she was sleeping and l could almost imagine her breathing. One of the most beautiful faces emerged from the original Clawdeen. A spectacular remodelling from so so to spectacular 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
