Maybe you can sew something from those weighted blankets.
@cedarashmore490Ай бұрын
That would be awesome

Yeah I was thinking that too. Sew a couple of weighted blankets together and fashion a big weighted onesie with velcro closures maybe. Would be pretty heavy though, and hilarious.

I would hang the chain's rings all around the body with the zip ties, and use another shirt on top of that to cover it up and stitch it to the one underneath, and the same for the pants.

I think this is a pretty good proof of concept. I think you have something here. A better material to lay the weighted cords ontop of, perhaps Or just insulate the material/underarmor as a whole to make it weighted, as opposed to having external weight bouncing around?

@MrC0MPUT3R18 күн бұрын
If you wanted to spend way too much time, you could sew pockets of metal beads/small ball bearings/lead weights over the immobile parts of the clothing. Like a weighted blanket.
@coowsАй бұрын
maybe you could like pay someone to weave extension cords or some sort of metal between fabric, and then give them your measurements so that they don't make it too tight, and then add more weight by putting more wire?
@Jawara_Ай бұрын
My idea: A bodysuit that has hooks on each limb and joint so you can target a specific resistance move. Example: Say you want to target triceps ideally you would connect a band from your shoulder to your hand and have one connected to your inner bicep for stability. Or it could have the same tension effects that a bike brake brake is under using wire and springs. Idk would be cool to always be working out while doing your day to day.

11:25 I haven’t seen any weighted “suits” before - but weighted clothing (ie: shirts and shorts/pants) exist, as well as ankle weights, wrist weights, and heavy helmets. Additionally, there are boxing suits that use resistance bands and/or cables to add resistance to movement (punches).
@user-pe5nj9sn8vАй бұрын

I would have gotten some material similar to the compression shirt/pants and sewed in a bunch of pockets and filled with beads and sew shut, sort of like a weighted blanket.

Try this with a wetsuit and lead rope. "What is Lead-Rope? Lead-Rope generally looks like normal everyday rope. However, as the name suggests, Lead is contained within the synthetic poly rope. This obviously makes it a heavy rope, which is an ideal property for certain applications. Applications: Professional fishing: Used as method of weighing the bottom of a fishing net down. General netting: Used as a method of weighing down Sports and Bird netting. "

I had a chainmail shirt that weighed 30 lbs and man it was a hard workout just doing ordinary activities. Medieval solders were buff for a reason. To clean it you put it in a bucket of sand with a strong lid and roll it back and forth. You need actual armor type and not the costume stuff.
@heyheythrowawayАй бұрын
You could probably find or make some sort of heavy beads that you sew evenly over the body. Maybe metal nuts or washers. Would be almost like chain mail. Or like others have said, a weighted blanket.
@in4theride75Ай бұрын
I'm surprised this wasn't released april 1. There are multiple companies with weighted gear that either have mini pockets for weights all over or sewn in weights. It would have taken 60 seconds to do a search to find them.

im wondering if you could have like a double layered shirt/ pants and then add sand/wheat inside the layers , like little pockets kind of thing and then use a sewing machine to seal up the "pockets" of sand/wheat , a bit more brainstorming on this and it should work wayyyy better . look at rugby helmets for example , how they look like they have little pockets all over them , now imagine that look on your gear and weighted with sand or other material ???

Interesting concept. Copper is malleable, relatively heavy and supposedly antimicrobial. Perhaps under armour, glue, velcro dots or velcro patches and small rounded copper body armor plates would hold better, be easier to adjust the Velcro, add or remove plates for different exercises or intensity? Might not look as cool of a cyborg suit though 🤔
@TheronMathisАй бұрын

Don't use it during a thunderstorm! If the "cable" could be sewn into sleeves (tubes) and made part of the garment, the concept would work better. Same consept as a weighted vest but the pockets are long and narrow to accomodate the weighted cable.

@TheAdamk12Ай бұрын
They did build this - it’s a suit of (plate) armor. Natural hypertrophy on KZfaq has two videos on knights training in armor. First you need to think about layering. Instead of skin tight tights you made, your suit would be more traditional jacketed blouse and trousers on top of tights, with perhaps some kind of padding in between and under layer of tights. You’d want to use belts and straps to keep the weight close to your body while you move.
