Theres quite a few games with free movement where the character only faces left or right, and still looks really good, so you don't necessarily need a complex sprite sheet

Well good luck. Coding takes alot more time than RPG Maker does. So all I say is dont give up. Youll maybe wont get much dont in a while but the end product will taste ever so sweet. Keep it up
