For the science behind Kowala's track at 8:34 that you can't hear, but the waveform is still a brick of audio: Whatever he did, the frequency range of the pieces that could not be heard are too low to be heard by a human ear. If you look at it in an analyzer, it's a constant pitch of at max, about 10Hz. While our ears stop at about 20Hz. There is still loud audio there, we just cannot hear it because of our human ear limitations. Your ears may still tickle while you listen, like mine did. Because there is still audio coming through, we just can't hear it. If you go onto the track itself and move the volume while it's playing, it will make static and clicky sounds. That's how you can tell there's still audio playing when it's past our human ear frequency range.

It’s not an dip that happens at around 20hz, that is where the frequency starts to open up and becomes more clearer to the human ear, 20khz or around the 15khz to 20khz is usually where someone’s hearing starts to dip.
