the key is the volume of the music versus the volume of the machining. Machining noise should take precedence over, drown out, music. I think the music volume is a bit high, the viewer should be forced to move the volume slider to maximum if he wants.

The choice of music is fine, I prefer just machining sounds.

We made a very similar thing in high school to turn acrylic domes that we used as magnifying lenses. This one is much more elaborate than ours was. Awesome job.

I designed and made similar to dress a grinding wheel for grinding a hard surface on a moving joint on a jet engine. It sat on the bed and the moving part could be easily removed whilst the grinding op ws done. I got a small suggestion award for it. 1969.

Just a smaller radial arm cutting adapter. But definitely nice job. 👌. On adapter for lathe tool is set by depth mic.

I am CNC-ing my lathe. I think I can make the results also, but your tool is very well thought out! When ready I'll try the same thing, but I will mostly code it (which is may speciality), in stead of the handy work. 10/10 though! (and yes the music is too loud)

Finally i made one which is simple one ... From what ever i got ... Which straight away mounts on 4 way tool post ...both concave , convex can be done ... And normal turning aswel ....

Great idea. My only addition would be a screw to adjust the position with a lock nut on it. That would be more accurate.

Nice but you could have just loosened the bolts on the swing for your compound and swing it back-and-forth and made a radius without building that thing but God-bless very cool

Hundreds of thousands of $$$'s or £££ G B P, of machinery to make a ball turning tool that you CAN buy , but many many many are made by apprentices as a test project, and indeed I made my own with simply a Myford ML & small lathe!! And my one can be used on ANY lathe!!
