Today I will show you the manufacturing process of a small vacuum engine. Its principle of operation is similar to the Stirling engine, but slightly different. I will show you all the stages of its manufacture. Enjoy watching!

The fact that this engine works makes this nothing less than a masterpiece. It gets heat saturated very quickly though and requires a lot more vacuum more quickly than larger engines, while its small size give it a bad ratio of surface area to volume, so the piston friction is too high for such a small amount of working vacuum. So like this tiny working model is amazing. I really like the way you honed/polished the piston and cylinder together.

I consider myself obliged to inform all KZfaq users that KZfaq algorithms are designed in such a way that likes are not taken into account in the case of an unwatched video and are considered cheating, that is, in order for KZfaq to take your like into account, you must first watch it to the end, and only then like it

I believe this would run really well with a tiny hydrogen flame, using a hypodermic needle as a burner. It would basically be a reverse steam engine.

You need to keep the cylinder cold for this engine to work. When you used the high temperature torch you also heated the cylinder, that's why the motor was going slower with time. Congrats on your miniature!

not gonna lie, watching you use the MOT output spot welder with your bare hands that close to the lugs made me pucker something fierce. I know that is the low voltage side, but stilllll

So it's more like a Stirling engine?
@howardosborne8647
@howardosborne8647 5 ай бұрын
No,not like a Stirling engine. Look up 'flamelicker engine' on google or here on youtube for an explanation of how this engine works. They suck in the hot flame and air on the downward piston stroke then the valve closes and the hot expanded air in the cylinder cools and contracts thus causing a drop in pressure in the cylinder which sucks the piston back up to top dead centre. A stirling engine is a closed system engine where the air sealed inside the engine and is is repeatedly heated and cooled but not open to the outside atmospheric air whereas a Flamelicker runs on a atmospheric induction cycle.

It fuctions similarly to a *Sterling engine, but it relies on a partial vacuum on one side of the cylinder, while a Sterling engine relies on pressure differences based on temperature.

I love watching your videos. Exceptional craftsmanship! One request: If you can tone down the tool sounds in the video, it will be more enjoyable to watch using headphones. Now, the screeching sounds of the tools induce headaches.

Put magnets on the wheel It will heat that Vaccum-energy chamber and voila; It will run on it's own energy, for eternity
@timfalken3886

Only if thermodynamics don't apply :P The magnetic forces generating the heat also impede its motion. The energy needed to keep it running cannot be smaller than the energy generated by its own motion, so it would never work.
