the only downside of this build is you will NEVER EVER make credits playing it. You will always be dumping credits.

The term you're looking for is "diminishing returns". It could work by every bonus that you stack you would only get a percentage of the available bonus. So you'd start with something that gives a 10% boast. If another thing boasts the same mechanic then you only get 75% of the 2nd bonus. If a third thing stacked the same bonus then you'd only get 50% of that 3rd bonus.

I miss when Arty was fun. Didn't play it all the time, but it was a nice break when things were going well.

Yes QB you missed the point: This is just one of many ways WG pushes players to spend more time playing to get better equipment earn more credits and play more games to earn WG more money. It's economics baby.

I’ve been using this build for some time now. It still doesn’t change the pathetic amount of damage you usually do or help with maps that are nearly all mountains or towns. Ignoring the hypothetical dpm, arty must have the lowest dpm in the game.

If I'm not mistaken the reduced dispersion on the IRM is to counter the faster turret traverse speed. 10% faster turret traverse means 10% increased dispersion based on the bloom formula that I saw once (you can prove it by turning the turret, the faster the more bloom). Also from wargaming wiki "Battle mechanics : Turret Rotation: Rotating the turret results in a temporary accuracy penalty. *The exact amount depends on the installed gun and the speed of your turret's rotation.* The effect is reduced if the Gunner has the Snap Shot skill. " However you do get the Movement dispersion buff (reduction) because you are not moving faster forwards as well as the reduced after firing dispersion. They should make it more clear.

When I was playing arty so many rotations around the sun ago, You want to aim higher, basically just like you are missing the tank Will. This is how you fight the misalignment and can actually slam a round into the side rather than exploding the shell into the tracks. Thank you for sharing how to abuse arties though lol

Sir, artillery is already broken. Specifically, the Lefh. If can fire faster than the track repair speed of a full repair crew at tier 5.

SPG missions are already impossible. Please don't advice WG to make it even harder for us.

This build is perfect for BC and is almost the only option since BC can not take vents or gun rammer.

This arty is the best. Its good for getting angles on targets. More often than not i perform better than the other arties on my team in this thing.

Equipment breaks this game. It's ridiculous and I hate it. WG balances tanks without these in mind and you can mitigate a lot of weaknesses that are balancing factors for tanks. It honestly breaks this game beyond repair. I wish they were just removed from the game. They need to be massively nerfed or have a trade off mechanism added. You get a boost to speed, but your engine is more prone to being damaged. You get better dispersion, but you are slower moving.

i also play the bc quite a bit, its perfect for digging out hull down tanks because the AP has 300mm pen I shoot about 50% ap

It all depends to RNG doesn’t matter how good are the spgs

I already had this build on my BC tier 10, but went one better with a bond GLD. I play that Arty quite frequently.

It's like a tier 10 auto loading FV304 (in terms of accuracy and average damage). FV304 had 0.43 accuracy with 100 avg damage on non pen hits

well, that's always been my build since I got the bc58, except I use only standard equipment and w/o premium consumables. Back then, 1 hit from bc58 can do 600+ damage and can't stun. 1 full magazine was 4 shells and can kill a single HT in one breath if lucky.

I wonder what the experimental Fire Control System T3 would do vs the rotation device.

I put the same load out on the Foch 155, helped a bit.

I am driving the exact same setup, changed to mobility system from a turbo and it changed everything. 90% gunmark, its op (I still play other tanks dw)

I have the same equipment on my bc155 58. Just a little advise from me: This is a very fast arty, you can easily drive near the frontline, fire your clip away and relocate. I shot AP on short distance. Its ridiculous (AP is a personal thing...).

I will definitely give this build a try. In the meantime: Crusader SP with stock gun 😀

Great build! I like to move these fast SPGs around on the battlefield to positions closer to frontlines so that you are: - more accurate - the shell reaches its target faster - you fire at unexpected angles Especially with the turbo you can escape well in time if you suspect the front is collapsing. Makes playing them a lot more fun 🙂

idk why you're worried about diminishing returns, all this expense for a 3k damage game? its really not OP enough to warrant anything being done

This is how i do the hit 7 enemys in one game daily mission. On the matter of pay to win. The premium account allows you to play premium tanks with full pay to win setup and make way more credits, not 50% more like 200% more. Because some games you would loose credits and premium account will those losses to gains. The bigest advantage money buys is the premium account, because it turns every tank 30% or 40% better.

I think chems would made a good reform for the artillery class

I use that equipment on my T30, makes it move and aim quick for quick shots, works great for me.

Great recommendations QB, works well, I might try level 3 experimental turbo. Only one thing: fuel consumable not available for this arty.

It also helps you to fully aim before they disappear from vision

I've been using that build for the past several months. I also (depending upon the map) load the 1st mag as AP.

this is what i use one my tier 7 SPG from the collectibiles russian section of the shop. and i use the lower gun the one with a big over 20 seconds reload but less dmg. plays good enough :)

Accuracy is determined by the game software which is in fact the real determining factor when it comes to what can really be achieved with artillery. When 80% of the target area is occupied by a stationary tank and you miss it 80% of the time it is obvious that this is not just bad luck but something else entirely... and conversely I proved this by managing to hit a dead tank 9 times out of 10 when I can only hit a healthy tank about 30% of the time!!!

Diminishing returns is what they do in EVE. Works well.

QB is officially a sorcerer. I applied your configuration (sorta) to my Bishop and it is appalling how much more damage I'm doing in it now. I hope to heck all the leafblower crowd don't watch this video otherwise tier V is going to be unplayable. Thank you for the amazing insight.

Hmm, I think I will revisit my arty, though I prefer the BC 155 55 to the 58. Though this could change...

I tend to decrease aim circle size and aiming time, also increase mobility of SPGs and turret traverse speed, even if it all comes at a cost of a bit longer reload. P.S. No premium consumables, as I'm F2P only guy, also no coffee and no directives. So, just looked up what I got on my B-C 155 58: - bounty rotation mechanism (upgraded); - mobility improvement system T3; - wear-resistant gun laying drive (upgraded); Field mods: - engine tweaking; - hunter C suite:; - hydraulics tuning (setup 2); - aiming mechanism tuning; - weight reduction. And yes, gunner has "snap shot" perk, currently "deadeye" (increased damage to modules) is in progress. So... My intent was to create a monster to my taste - able to drive really fast all around the map and one able to switch targets and aim fast, just... to be a general annoyance to opponents. 😆 Honestly, this was a bit painful to watch, how passively QB plays this beautiful arty not using it's mobility in a least, but that explains his belief, that "Stark's medal" is a rare one on arties. IT IS NOT if one plays them aggressively! It also feels like either arties got unintended boost lately, or more harder hitting ones got an upper hand over French tier X, which can fire fast, but hits quite weak; thing is, on 155 58 I got a lot of games and experience, but only 48% winrate, while on Soviet tier X and American tier IX (the only other (near) top arties I got) winrate is at 54%, despite them not being fully upgraded - no field mods and crews not a well trained as French one. Anyway, this seldom is a "revealing video" to anyone, who plays arties a lot, but QB needed a theme for the video and a supposedly loud title, fine!

SPGs can Snap shot like other tanks.. I forget.. There is a time limit on snap aiming..? One bloom shrink fire.. Auto lock close combat same..

Welcome to playing this config, Better late than never.

No QB, you didn't make artillery broken in WoT; WG did! I'm grateful that you admit that you aren't great at playing artillery as that is obvious to anyone who was ever good at it and that realization is the first step (& necessary one) to any significant improvement (I'm sure QB is aware, but how could you possibly improve if you thought you're already perfect?). WG's incompetence in identification of real root causes of many problems WoT has had over the years, combined with their greed and poor monetization strategy have brought many bad changes to WoT and not a small portion of them affected Artillery class. I won't list them all, but just a couple major examples would be the introduction of new T9 and T10 artillery vehicles, where the existing vehicles should've been moved up to how MM was treating them before (e.g. T8 -> T10), several accuracy and precision nerfs, including ditching of the Gaussian (/normal) distribution, stun mechanics... These all slowly chipped away at the usefulness of the skill and kept changing artillery more and more into the "no-skill point and click" class that noobs have always seen it as and pushing away (from the class and from the game entirely) more and more good artillery players in the process. Thinking back about it, the knowledge of how to play Artillery well seemed always like a dark art in WoT as there was AFAIK no excellent artillery player sharing their knowledge in YT guides or something and in none of the coverage of good artillery players in a battle that I've ever seen has the presenter given a second thought to even basics like target prioritization and relocation for better firing angles. Instead, your best bet for getting this knowledge, back in the golden era of WoT, was to join a clan that had at least one great artillery player, go to the clan's TeamSpeak server and ask them to teach you (in my experience it was overwhelmingly likely they'd be excited to do so).

Bond rotation doesn't exist at all nor does good fuel for the BC 155/58. I'm guessing WG got rid of them because it would make the BC too OP. I run Bounty Rotation, Bounty GLD, T3 Mobility, Snap Directive, and Coffee. Works very well.

been using the experimental turbo for a long time now. on the bc real scary, wait for stun tho cool off and hit again. however, if I get it right you don't gain anything when turning faster, but being more precise as it cancels each other out, or not? But I use it to be more precise when moving *not* with full speed

exactly the build i use since start xD also get a bit closer then 500m and use AP shells works wonders. 3 marked the arty so fast^^

arty should get a rework and add new tech tree lines, make a new aiming mechanic for them so it would take more skill but with higher reward

This makes me even more proud of my last arty game: 3,846 dmg + 3,850 assist in the T92 😁. That tank couldn't have a slower aim time, I build it for rate of fire (gets like 1.4 rounds per minute, haha)

Is there any recent videos on how to get back into the game? The garage is quite overwhelming imo. Haven't played WOT in a couple of years but a lot of WOP but the garage there is simple by comparison.

This setup will only work on the French SPG line since they are the only ones with a rotating turret.

Been using this build since Experimental equipment came out. How are you just now using Exp. Equipment? Its better than the boring (vents rammer turbo) on every tank.

I stop playing wot on pc in 2016 with approximatively 7700 games on 155 58 and 8200 games on ps4/5 in 2021 on this same spg. Main issue is team composition and unbalanced players skill.
