The legendary souls gamer asmongold ----------------------- is he joking? The guy js average at best. He gave up on Lords of The fallen . Any game that needs more brain use than one brain cell asmongold gives up. The guy just run around and did jump attacks the whole time , like a moron, in Elden Ring .Some of his boss wins were absolute crazy luck because the boss had some kind of glitching out or other issues. ____________________ This is just a trick to make him react to the video by using his name and calling him legendary, sucking up and massaging his ego

Squilla was my introduction to souls no-hit runs as well, and while I don't participate in the no-hit community myself, watching them helped me learn a lot of tricks that have really helped me. I honestly don't know if I would have stuck with the Souls series if I hadn't found the challenge/speedrun community around fromsoft games.

Even in the first playthrough, one can make very competent build just by good understanding of game mechanics. Dual halberd is very strong due to the damage + reach.

It is worth mentioning that you condense your runs down for KZfaq. It makes it so much easier to consume compared to a 6 hour stream. The editing is good: shows us important items, fun little updates on your checklist, and cutting down on "boring" footage. All of these are factors as to why youtube is a more popular platform; you are able to deliver a better, more refined product to us here.

It always surprises me how I managed to do virtually the same build as Asmon in my first run. My original build used katanas but my elitist brain didn’t like how easily bleed was killing things so I switched to the Dragon Halberd from the Dragonkin in Siofra and then picked up the Guardian Swordspear sometime later.

The worst thing about the godskin duo is the input reading. Not necessarily for flasks, but when you manage to get them into a good position to use something like vacuum slice or some other aoe with a wonky hit box, like the aow from wing of astel, skinny always manages to dodge it, at least to some extent. It sucks
