Mummies should drop "bands" with which you could craft a "sand scarf" that protects you from sand storm damage

Okay: if we get this desert temple upgrade, JUNGLE TEMPLE UPGRADE

Never realized how plain they actually are, wow. Hope they get updated when they update the desert biome. They should also make it so sandstone looks connected vertically, rather than having an ugly line on the top no matter what.

I 100% want this to become a part of the game. This could be an amazing addition which would make the crummy sand biome into something that will be largely sought after.

Tbh, I'm thinking of an additional mob to this update. The sand golem, a fully hostile mob which is a recolored iron golem. It is fully hostile, and it will ignore you if you're wearing a carved pumpkin. (so the carved pumpkin can be actually useful for something) It deals less damage, though it has a short effect of weakness. (about 5 seconds) It drops gold nuggets, and a very small chance to drop a totem of undying. Only difference is it doesn't really hang out by any structures, it just wanders around the desert biome. (It's rare to find tho) It's just an idea, so debate if you want, I don't care lol.

The sandstorm would have to be just a weather additions, since adding weather via the boss would make it easier to find, thus making the temple less rare and more of an inconvenience.

I am a total wuss so as this sounds amazing to other more experienced players.... I am terrified of this idea. I also watched the jungle structure vid and I def was scared of that

They should add an ender dragon update with this and call it the Dungeons and Dragons update

There could be more added to the desert pyramids such as hidden tombs containing treasure and mummies!

Suggestion:sometime when there is a sandstorm you will get the blind effect because sands might get into your eyes and add a new item called goggles so you won’t get sand into your eye

The only problem with parkour in the pyramid, is that mining fatigue doesn't stop you from building

Oasis in the desert, improving the dessert temples some more, adding a new place like this (cuz of this boss it can be a more rare place to find and some unique items that this boss will drop after dying, unique blocks for this pyramid, camels and trees like palm trees and some more new mobs near the oasis, new storage item (pots) mummies in the pyramid new redstone blocks, mechanics and traps.. In the MINECRAFT Desert Update!

I would like it if in the dessert there are random quicksand pools just like lava pools, but sometimes underneath the quick sand there is a giant cave or a buried temple, or small pyramid, and egyptian structures you could find buried beneath layers of sand

mojang needs a redo of all temples, villages, dungeons etc. what takes them months takes a builder with half an idea a few hours

If they add powdered snow then it would make sense to add powdered sand/quicksand

In an update like this they could add another variant of the spider that spawns in the desert that's inspired by the Sicarius Spider (Sand Spider) that could give slowness or fatigue (for it's real life muscle cramping inducing bite) and maybe dig itself in sand? Additionally, a regular spider can turn into a Sand Spider if it is submerged in quick sand (akin to how skeletons turn into Strafes if buried in powdered snow)

I like how a great update just came out and we're already trying to find a new thing to improve

I think the scorpion thing should have and effect called “pulverize” it uses its bones to crush yours, thus slowing you down and weakening your attacks

The desert pyramid thing is really interesting with the new loot and stuff and they cool even add that archeology site to use since archeology and deserts are linked together even in real life

Great ideas we really need this, the temple also needs various puzzles that are different every time. Like those ancient Egypt falling pressure plates puzzles were you have to step on the right pressure plate or you fall through the floor. There is a map kind of thing that shows you which pressures plates to step on so you don't die. There should also be scorpions spawning in the desert.

OMG in the structures all the bosses could drop an item and once you have got every item from every boss you can go to the end! That would make it more rewarding once you have finally defeated the final boss! (amazing work btw :D)

Since irl ancient pharaohs were mummified with precious gems, a percentage of Minecraft mummies could drop precious items like diamonds, emeralds and even a new gem only obtainable from them. This would make mummies more valuable and make players more inclined to defeat them rather than leave their annoyances and go to another room instead. The only problem with this is mummies would have to not be able to continue spawning naturally after a certain amount of them already spawn because that’s a super easy diamond farm 😂

I'm still wondering why we don't have mummies. Like really mummies should have been the first thing added to desert temples and so should coffins be added and having a special perk of making you sleep for 3 days instead of 1.

This is honestly brilliant

You could add coffins as an additional item for the mummies. These would then come out of the coffins when the player enters the pyramid. In addition, the player can also go into the coffin and thus get no attacks from the mummies, but get the slowness effect and get cloths instead of armor. The effect would then disappear when you are on the next floor.

I have 2 fantastic enchantments for this, 1. Sand strider, it allows you to move fast on sand and stops slowness from sandstorms, and even allows you to move fast in a sandstorm 2. Sting stopper, well it’s in its name, it will provide more resistance to stings and even shortens the debuff effect

One thing that I think should be add to the desert biome is an Oasis, being basically a place with a few trees, grass and a pool of bright blue water. If you go swim in that water your Health would be quickly regenerated, meanwhile all the desert mobs would be hurted by it. Also, if you bottle the Oasis water you can drink it to heal yourself or enchance your armor with it to deal damage to the mobs close to you.

The mining fitigue should be called the Pharaoh's curse

suddenly cows become the most important mob for ocean monuments and pyramids, just have a ton of milk, and the mining fatigue will be canceled out!

Idea for Mummies: Drop big dusty stone which can be used on a sword using a smithing table; after a mob is hit by a weapon with this rock it gets stunned for a 0.5 seconds!
