Great composition. Perseverance in all those photo shots paid off. I think with art Perseverance is one of the key factors especially when engaging in a large work. One thing I would ask you, when speaking of the paint areas that sink in would you not oil out the paint before varnishing? I have varnished without oiling out and it doesn't solve the dull areas.

This painting was a few different big milestones for you I guess. And hats off to little cousin for being such a great model. Looking great man! I was thinking about you using your own pictures here while back when watching another of your videos. Sometimes I have gotten really cool pictures of women with flowers and nature and all but it was pure luck because I'm not a photographer either. Point being I'm glad your starting to use original photos given the level you're painting at now.
