Slight correction btw, the big empty spaces where you often find mobs and such in mountains or underground are not mines. They are usually just caves or crevices in which you can mine. But the actual mines in Minecraft have mineshafts and tracks and mob spawners and typically a lot of cobwebs. No doubt you'll come across one, but for now, you haven't yet. Keep an eye out for them tho! They can hold treasure x3

This series is bringing back what it felt like to play for the first time very vividly, but I would've been *completely* destroyed by all the stuff in the current version. (I started back in 1.3 and I'm still intimidated by the phantoms and the pillagers.)

So right off the bat, if you don't want to deal with phantoms, then you need to sleep at night more often. If you stay awake for 3 days, they show up at night.

Smokers cook food twice as fast, so use that when you're roasting consumables. If you get a blast furnace, that smelts things like ores twice as fast.

Tips that will help a lot: 1- Tools of different materials have damage / resistance / usefulness / speed depending on the material. Here is the sequence from the worst material to the best: Wood - Stone - Gold (better to build other items) - Iron - Diamond - Netherite. 2- Hold 'Shift' to approach the edge of a block to be "stuck" to it and you will not fall. 3- A single coal can cook 8 items in the furnace! Do not waste! 4- Always take a bucket of water with you! It will be very useful to save your life if you are on fire. In addition, it is very useful for going up and down in caves. 5- Remember to make armor! Their usefulness is based on the material used, as in tip 1. 6- Never dig straight down, or you could fall into a very deep hole and even end up drowning in the lava. 7- Use the right tools for your proper purposes: Pickaxe; Breaking rocky blocks / Shovel; Breaking sandy blocks / Sword; Kill :) / Axee; Wood / Hoe; Plowing the land. 8- Make a farm! Gather animals and mate them to get more out of them. To do this, feed 2 cows or 2 sheep with wheat. Feed 2 pigs with carrots. Feed 2 chickens with any type of cement. 9- Plowing the ground allows you to plant seeds that you can break the bushes. For the soil to stay moist, water is required. Important tip: 1 block of water on the floor allows you to moisten up to 4 blocks away. 10- Make shields! Shields allow you to defend yourself against various threats, be it skeleton arrows, attacks from other monsters and even explosions from creepers. 11- Make an infinite source of water! Break 4 blocks on the floor so that you make a square. Put 1 bucket of water in blocks diagonally. Now you have an infinite source of water! 12- Look for villages. There you can make exchanges. But remember to protect the villagers. 13- Spending 3 sleepless nights can attract Phantons (flying creatures). 14- You can tame wolves to help kill monsters. To tame a wolf you need to give him some bones. 15- Just like the bucket of water; always take food with you! 16- Light your environment well with torches so that monsters are not born inside your house, or mines. 17- You can get meat already cooked from some animal by putting fire on it alive with a lighter or by putting lava and taking it out quickly. That way it will no longer be necessary to cook. - Tips not mandatory, but that improve the gameplay - 1- Go to the settings and disable the automatic jump. With it activated, you can end up jumping when touching a block without you wanting to.

When you find a village you can use the fletching table to change a villager's trade profession to a fletcher. Fletchers will trade arrows, emeralds, flint, bow, crossbow, and tipped arrows. You can make a map to help you. A cartography table can help increase the map's size. I hope this helps you out.

Nice move with creating stairs. Use the coble stone to make multiple furnaces to smelt more iron and ores. If you mine around y level 10, 11, or 12, you can mine diamonds. You can only mine diamonds with an iron pick axe.

You should also eat more often so that you can recover health faster. And be careful with those Pillagers (the grey dudes with the banner and crossbow). If you kill the one with the banner, you'll get a bad omen. That means that if you go into a village with a bad omen, that village will get raided.

18:32 yes that is used for farming to make farming plots. I usually use the wood tier of that one instead of iron. You can plant seeds to get some wheat, make sure the farming plot is near water otherwise the farming plot could revert to a normal dirt block. There are two other dimensions other than the one you're in. The entrance to one requires you to construct a portal and the other requires you to find the portal. I'm not sure you're ready for them but if you feel brave enough then check out the Nether.

Ink Sacs are used to make black dye, which you can use to color multiple different items. If you use it on a sheep, you can create an infinite source of black wool. Just make sure it has grass and to cage it in, preferably with fences.

To get wheat seeds, destroy tall grass. You can plant these.

The fletching table is a job block for villagers so you can’t excess it

I would recommend turning off auto jump, if you haven’t already ^^ I think it’s in either accessibility settings or controls

If you're having problems with things outside your front door, there's several things you can do. Making windows to either side of your doors is a great thing to do. Make sure to light up things outside your house and make an emergency exit, just in case things get in.

Use a shovel for soft blocks like sand, dirt, and gravel :D

Use a shovel to mine the sand, not your sword. Doing a task, such as mining a block with the wrong tool causes it's durability to be lost up to 3 times as fast for certain things, not to mention it's slower.

Your gonna need to enchant things like armor or tools.Its a little hard tho.From what I know to enchant you can use a anvil or a enchanting table

Man I wish this went further, Minecraft is really in depth and a solid game

You can get obsidian if you but water on lava and you can mine obsidian with diamond pic axe and you can make a nether portal with 10 obsidian

The cut in the Earth you found was a ravine, which is a great place to find exposed resources and diamonds. They often contain lots of water and lava, so be careful while navigating.

So while furnaces are great for both, cooking food and smelting things like iron and gold ore to get iron and gold ingots, the smoker is useful for cooking food faster, and the blast furnace is to smelt ore quicker. Edit; you can keep the glass blocks to be able to keep the full window, but you can place the glass blocks next to the door to keep the gap from being exposed.

Flint can be combined with a single iron ingot to create Flint & Steel, which can be used to create fire, which is useful when making a Nether Portal.

You can make a mob farm

Hold shift and you can’t fall off a block. Very useful when you’re trying to build, or peek into ravines!

Try to mine in long and large caves, since you can find lots of ores exposed, and it's kind of like a mine already dug out for you. Also try mining at low areas to find diamonds.
