I’d probably evolve Buizel in the episode “Short to the Punch” where he and Ash did all that training to learn Ice Punch, after be defeats Mr.Mime. That way he still gets plenty of shine as a Buizel and pulls a Torracat, where he doesn’t evolve to gain enough power to win, BUT as a reward for winning. And i’d keep Gible over Froslass and evolve it into a Gabite Side note: love the alola team

I agree with evolving buizel because to me Ash got the short end of the stick in that trade but as for me I'd evolve him when he learned ice punch because from past episodes if you look at the japanese titles the one where buizel learned ice punch was titled "Growling Ice Punch Buizel vs. Mr. Mime" & when Treecko evolved into Grovyle the japanese title was "Critical Situation Exploud vs Grovyle" so just using those as examples you would expect Buizel would of evolved in the episode when he learned ice punch. These things don't work when he's a Decidueye, and neither would learning Seed Bomb with an Eviolite, or his league battle against Hau, which were two major episodes for him.

Lemme lay down mine. Kanto - Pretty much the same. Only a few changes; I'm swapping Primeape and Kingler for a Marowak and a Gengar. He'll obviously catch his Haunter at Sabrina's, and Cubone could really work. My main thing I wanted for this rewrite was to focus on Ash's other Pokémon that aren't starters. However, Ash will not release Lapras and Pidgeot will rejoin him later in Johto. Johto - No changes to the roster itself. My only notes are to let Cyndaquil and Phanpy evolve in Johto, and let Bayleef evolve in a Frontier battle. Other then that, just focus on Pokémon like Noctowl and Heracross more. Hoenn - No changes actually- I've considered scrapping Glalie for Flygon, but I'm undecided. Just evolve Grovype earlier. Sinnoh - I did a few fun things here. Ash will not catch Torterra, instead, Brock will as Grotle really fits Brock. In place of Torterra, Ash will catch an Eevee alongside May- and it will evolve into a Leafeon. Everything else stays the same. Unova- I'm actually not that big of a hater of Ash's Unova team. I keep Oshawott, Snivy, and Krookodile the same, and I will evolve his Pignite and Scraggy. Unfortunately, Unfezant and Boldore get completely scrapped, meanwhile Cilan and James will have Leavanny and Palpitoad respectively. As for Ash's added Pokémon, I chose Archeops. Since I won't be giving him Dracovish later, I wanted Ash to have a fossil earlier. I think Archeops fits him too. I've then considered adding at least one or two more Pokémon, but I don't know. Kalos - Three big changes here. Although he will keep Greninja, I'm getting rid of Ash Greninja. I've always hated that plot line. Then, Talonflame and Goodra will be scrapped for a shiny Trevenant and Lucario. Lucario will be his ace this region, and his Mega, since Journeys will be built more like a Galar anime. Alola - No notes for the most part. Rowlet, Incineroar, Lycanroc, and Melmetal stay the exact same. For his fifth mon however, I want a brand new Pokémon, and I think Ribombee works. It's cute, fast, and two types that aren't too common on Ash's roster. Galar - Only one Pokémon stays from the original, and that's Sirfetch'd. It will be given more focus. As for the other Pokémon that Ash will catch, we have Rillaboom, Centiskorch, Hatterene, and Hisuian Goodra. Rillaboom really fits him, I want Ash to have a more feminine Pokémon like Hatterene, and Centiskorch/Hisuian Goodra are really fun picks. Aim to be a PKMN Master - I think Ash will only catch a Tyranitar and Rotom in this series. It'll only be 15 episodes, but having him catch the Larvitar from years back, and having Kukui give him Rotom Dex just sounds like a nice tie up. Especially his first and last Pokémon being electric. With that being said, Ash's roster will be - Pikachu, Butterfree, Pidgeot, Charizard, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Muk, Gengar, Marowak, Tauros, Mr. Mime, Snorlax, Lapras, Meganium, Noctowl, Totodile, Quilava, Heracross, Donphan, Sceptile, Swellow, Glalie, Corphish, Torkoal, Staraptor, Infernape, Gliscor, Leafeon, Buizel, Gible, Oshawott, Snivy, Emboar, Scrafty, Arhceops, Krookodile, Greninja, Noivern, Hawlucha, Trevenant, Lucario, Rowlet, Incineroar, Lycanroc, Ribombee, Melmetal, Rillaboom, Centiskorch, Hatterene, Sirfetch'd, Hisuian Goodra, Tyranitar, and Rotom.
